Absolutely top of class bike tour! Cecil was fabulous from beginning to end. Very communicative in setting up our tour, he was helpful and gracious as we navigated the special needs of our family. Then during the tour itself he was wonderfully informative and engaging, highlighting a variety of York and bringing this remarkable area to life. He never tired of our questions, and we left feeling a shared appreciation for York and for Cecil. One of the highlights to our trip to the UK!

This was on our "to do" list for years so I'm so glad we did it!

Cecil is a fantastic guide and welcomed us warmly even though we were the only customers on a cold November weekend.

The bikes were already set up and so Cecil quickly got us ready and we were off!

York is a perfect city to cycle in and has a thriving cycling culture already so we felt at home straight away. Cecil told us lots of interesting and often humorous anecdotes about this amazing city and as their tag line says, it really is at 1000 years per hour! The time just flew by and we felt safe and well looked after under the guidance of Cecil. We even saw the remnants of the Kings egg(shell)...

At the end we had a quick beer back at the base which is a really vibrant part of the city at Brew York, highly recommended thanks Cecil! 🙂

This was a lot of fun and it’s a fantastic way to see the sites!! Cecil is both knowledgeable and friendly, plus he has a great sense of humour. There were only 8 of us on the tour which meant we got the full York experience. Highly recommend.

The tour was very safe, friendly, and informative about the history of the attractions and York. 100% would return again with family and friends next time.

Had a tour today with Cecil. It was a brilliant way to spend a morning and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting York. I’ve been here many times previously but it was so nice having a knowledgeable cyclist to guide us around and tell us about the history. It was great to see the city from the saddle.

What a fabulous morning!!
Theres so much to say about Cecil the guide. He was superb, friendly, fantastic local knowledge and provided us with really good quality tour bikes. We biked around the City and visited all the major landmarks with stops to learn on the way. What great way to understand the depth of history in York. It also helped us to decide what to explore thereafter. Well worth the price and great to do if on a time schedule.
Thankyou Cecil for making our stay in York so memorable, we will be back again soon. 5 stars not enough. Tim and Sophie.

This was an amazing tour! Cecil was funny, personable and very knowledgable about the history of York. The vast majority of the roads were either cycling paths and low traffic roads so cycling felt safe. We would definitely recommend this!

Cecil accommodated our special needs and customized an amazing tour of York for us. He showed us so many interesting landmarks and shared local stories, giving us a fabulous taste of York’s many unique historical and cultural treasures. Although we only spent one day with him, it’s clear that he is a top notch hospitable gentleman, and a considerate friendly neighbor, well liked by locals.
