November. Overshadowed by the 0ld Man of Hoy, Yesnaby Castle sea stack is a lot more accessible, and is an imposing feature in its own right. We hiked out late in the afternoon to see it at sunset. One of the highlights of our trip to Orkney

Interesting to see where they placed the Rover 200 series car all those years ago for the TV advert. Equally amazing is the big hole in the base of the Sea Stack.

This an incredible experience and one not to be missed if you are on Orkney, the stack is around a 20 minute walk from the car park at the old WWII battery station. The walk itself is of medium difficulty although in wet weather may be slightly more troublesome, but easily achievable for anyone reasonably fit, just wear decent boots if possible.
