I think the visitor center is quite new so if you are going because of the horses you might be a little disappointed, we only saw a couple and those were from a distance dispite doing both the red and blue walks. That said, it's got a wonderful cafe with some spectacular walks down to the river and through the forest and the staff were all very friendly.

We have driven past this place so many times over the years without realising what a gem of a place it is. We took the dogs for a walk and clapped the very friendly horses who run up to you as you walk by. They are so friendly you can’t help but love them all. We then went for a coffee and cake and it was great with very friendly staff who gave the dogs biscuits and water. Great views to sit and enjoy a cuppa. Loved our visit and thoroughly recommend a visit if passing.

Fantastic place to take your kids. Staff are delightful and the whole day cost a £5 to meet the horses and have a look around. Also worth taking your toddler round the fairy forest next to the car park. My 2 year old wont stop talking about it!
