I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Our wizard tour guide was amazing with the children and really made extraordinary efforts to engage with each of them. The mixture of comedy and magic was brilliant... the jokes were really funny that even the adults were laughing throughout the tour. If you are looking to do something with the kids in York, make sure this is on your list.

An absolute joy!

Our whole family adored the Wizard of York tour, with all the magic, silly jokes and a little bit of a tour of the city as well to boot.

The Wizard himself was a hoot, absolutely brilliant at entertaining the kids and never once breaking character (which kept the magic going)

Don’t sign up for this tour if you’re looking for some deep history of the city or some grim ghost stories. Do sign up if you have kids… or even for your own inner child!

Our Wizard was captivating for both little humans and us grown up kids. The jokes were witty, silly and funny which made us laugh, though my little human was a tad too young at 4 years old to really appreciate the humour, she had a fantastic time and even bagged herself a photo with the magical Wizard himself.

At one point during the tour, an unpaid family decided to tag along which was not acceptable as families had paid to go on this specific tour and the Wizard courteously and politely told them this was a privately booked tour and please could they move along which I thought was very well executed so well done to him.

Absolutely amazing the kids loved it as well as us adults, wasn’t to much walking the wizard was amazing with interacting with the whole group, we all had some really good laughs and my three children 5,7,10 all loved it which is a rare thing for them all to enjoy the same activity. This really is a magical must for anyone visiting York with or without children you won’t be disappointed!!!

Really funny and perfect for young children! Perfect length of time/distance and held the attention of both my children (4 and 8) throughout. The wizard stays engaged with the children throughout and they loved his silly jokes and clever tricks. He really made an effort to talk to the children and was constantly requesting their help/ideas which worked so well at keeping them interested.
We have been on this tour several times with both wizards and absolutely loved it each time!

Absolutely spellbinding! I took my parents and my niece & nephew (7 & 11) on the Wizard Walk in York, and it was pure magic from start to finish. Picture this: a wizard leading us through the ancient streets of York, cracking jokes that had the children giggling and the grandparents chuckling.

For 1 hour and 20 minutes, we were transported into a world of magic and jokes. The children were fully engaged, and the grandparents are now convinced they need a wand and a pointy hat to liven up their bingo nights!

The best part? It was great value for money. I think we got our money's worth in laughter alone! Whether you're 7, 70, or somewhere in between, there's something for everyone.

If you're in York and you don’t do the Wizard Walk, you're seriously missing out. Highly recommended.

A fabulous walking tour for all ages, our two children loved this tour. It's the right amount of walking, stops, jokes and of course magic ?
The hour tour really dose go quickly which is testament to how great and engaging the tour is.
Whilst other famous Wizards are mentioned in the tour, there is no need to be a fan of to even have read or watched films, this tour is magical in its own right.
Highly recommend, and even for a family who are regularly in the city we walked to areas that we've never been in.

My 6 year old absolutely loved the tour (as did I!) lots of engaging content for kids and humour that the adults can enjoy as well. A great tour that I'd highly recommend.
