What an amazing place! You can climb the tower all the way to the very top where the lantern once was and it has a museum downstairs too and a tea room at the back. Stunning views from the top of the tower and items in the shop are well priced too. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely amazing experience. Worth every penny. Interesting museum and the climb to the top was amazing. Maybe not so good for people scared of heights obviously and the final climb may be tricky for the slightly infirm. Nice cafe at the back in a sweet little garden. Staff are great too.

Superb place to visit when in Withernsea and very reasonably priced for a family of 6. It was an impromptu visit as we spotted the lighthouse in the distance when staying at Withernsea Sands. It's quite a climb to the top, but the views are breathtaking. My children really enjoyed exploring - although the one afraid of heights kept a firm grip of my hand throughout the climb! All of the staff (volunteers?) we encountered couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. We didn't use the cafe, so I can't comment on that - but everything else was perfect.

'HIGH LIGHT' OF MY VISIT!
The lighthouse is amazing- nearly fell over just looking up at it!
No time to go up but stopped in tearoom for a bargain pot of peppermint tea and scone with jam, choice of three, and cream and sat in a lovely sunny garden, with trees and a gazebo if you wanted shade.
Lots of info in museum and tearoom.
Well worth a visit, I will be back.

Lovely lighthouse. Reasinably priced. Certificate for those who make it up to the top. Great views and got the bonus of seeing planes flying along the coast whilst up there! Nice small museum and garden to the rear. Puffin from the trail a bonus find!

I visited here on 26th October and this light house was officially closed (out of season) but we were still able to gain access as the place was manned, which was very good as my daughter really wanted to go to the top of the light house.
This is a museum at the base and in season also has a cafe and gift shop with a nice large grass garden at the rear that you can get service from the cafe at.
Inside the lighthouse some old artifacts and information can be found before taking the 142 step to the top for a spectacular view of the tow and ocean.
The stairs are steep and can be very tiring if your not able bodied but the do have a large step/platform in several places where you could rest. The final 21 steps are very steep like ladders and may be restrictive if your not able bodied.
Its well worth a visit for the view for the top. A lovely place and friendly helpful staff.
