initially had a great experience with William H Brown — the person who came out to value the house was professional and helpful, which is why I chose them. Unfortunately, the service went downhill after that. I had requested that an agent show potential buyers around the property, but time and time again, no one turned up. Buyers were left waiting outside, and to my knowledge, no agent ever actually came to accompany a viewing. This was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I can’t recommend them and will not be using their services again. Poor service overall.

At first, my experience with William H Brown was excellent. Communication was fast and efficient, and within a week, they had secured a tenant and arranged a move-in date. I was impressed with how quickly things progressed.

However, things quickly took a turn for the worse.

When I was called in to sign the tenancy agreement, I was not informed that what I was actually signing was an acknowledgement of a failed credit check for the prospective tenant. To make matters worse, the tenant had a guarantor but when I later had to serve a Section 8 eviction notice, it turned out the guarantor’s information was incorrect or invalid.

As a result, I ended up spending £2,500 on legal fees to evict tenants who never paid rent from the moment they moved in. I am now left out of pocket and still have to wait up to 10 weeks for the courts to process the eviction.

This entire ordeal could have been avoided if I had been properly informed from the outset. I feel completely let down by the lack of transparency and due diligence.

Absolutely awful service

I booked a viewing for last week, on 12 July, which was cancelled. This was rearranged for this week, 19 July.

50 minutes before the viewing, they kindly rang to confirm the viewing, then 5 minutes later, they called me to cancel again - because the property was sold.

I will definitely not be using this place to sell, buy, or rent a property in the future.
