This is such an amazing place. I have never been somewhere on my own with my toddler and immediately felt welcome and comfortable. I have been to so many spaces apparently designed for little ones and been faced by rule after rule that has made the experience not easy or welcoming for my child and me. Wilderness Adventures space feels safe and freeing for little ones that like to just be able to be themselves and explore our natural world through play. I love it and just wish I had had the confidence to start going when my child was smaller.

We have been attending Saplings forest school sessions for over 3 years and my son absolutely loves it.

It has really well thought out activities and crafts each week, which my son loves exploring with his friends. He loves making potions in the mud kitchen, play doh pizzas, digging and climbing and looks forward to toasting marshmallows on the campfire!

We have also attended many family forest school sessions which my 3 children love (ages 3, 6, 9) with different activities set out for different ages.

Children are free to explore, learn and most of all have some fantastic outdoor fun whatever the weather.

The outdoor space is beautiful and is very chilled and calming. Nic and Molly are fantastic, very welcoming and brilliant with the children.

This place is certainly a hidden gem!

We love Wilderness Adventures! My little boy is absolutely thriving at saplings. Molly and Nic are so knowledgeable. They get to know all the children individually and cater things towards their needs.
The adult workshops are also brilliant - with a lovely, friendly atmosphere

We’ve been attending Saplings forest school group for over 2 years now and we absolutely love it! Both my 4 year old and 2 year old thrive here, with well thought out activities and a safe, outdoor environment. Fresh air, muddy boots and a friendly atmosphere brings us back time and time again.

When we found Wilderness Adventures we knew we had found our happy place. Saplings is perfect for our family! After taking my son to multiple classes during maternity leave and never really getting on with them - we tried forest school. My son gets to run free, learn, explore and play outside his own way. He is so happy and confident here and loves the campfire, snacks and toasted marshmallow!!!! For me it's a really calming space where I can get a cuppa (made over the campfire), have a natter and soak up the green space and fresh air. He conks out in the car on the way home craft in hand, full of mud but he has had the best time!!

Thankyou Nic and Molly for all your hard work, thoughtful ideas and little community.

My kids have been going to Wilderness Adventures for at least 4 years now. They love it! We started off at Saplings which was great for getting them exploring the woodland, digging, painting and doing all sorts of sensory, arts, crafts and motor skills. It was really thought out and they put alot of effort in. Now we go to the older sessions which are just as great and beneficial. Last week they made a reindeer with Nicola out of wood using various tools and skills. Jack has made the millennium falcon and all sorts. Both of them have grown so much in confidence and various skills thanks to Nicola, Molly and Rachel. It has helped them learn more about nature and that connection. They've also made some great friendships (as have I). The team are really good with the kids and it's child led. Definitely recommend!

My family and I have such a great time at the Saplings forest school, so much so my son had a joint 4th birthday party there recently! Nic and Molly create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere where children can explore and just be themselves. I thoroughly recommend Saplings to anyone wanting to go to a space where their child can experience something a little different and have fun in nature.

This place truly is a magical hidden gem! The staff are so lovely and very helpful and really put the children's interests at the heart of everything they do! I have been to the Saplings sessions with my little girl and she always talks about it and wants to go back. There is always lots to do and lots of fun to be had! My son has taken part in the Summer Camp and he also loved that and learned so much! All in all an amazing place that needs to be shouted about!
