Today I had to go to basildon hospital as had an appointment due to a fracture i have as I spoke to driver (micheal) about the pain im in decide to listen to golf on radio and has to stamp on breaks because lack of concentration with other drivers was not happy at all not even an sorry just tried changing topic because he knew what he did not acceptable

Left me and my disable sister because fair was to short, just put phone down on me as if they add the to do a shot journey half Rose South first year don’t know where we are I don’t know anybody and we just need to get some food now we stranded

Placed two bookings the night prior.
One to the destination (very important work meeting), and one return for after the meeting.

8.45am, taxi doesn't turn up. Ring up. No booking on system, despite me repeating it twice to the guy taking the booking.

They ONLY had the return journey booked. I'd have to wait half an hour for a taxi as they were busy.

There were no text confirmations sent, even for the accepted journey. Absolutely terrible. I'd give it no stars if I could.

I'm stranded, out of area and now very late.

We asked Wickford Taxis to take my 83 year old dad to and from my son's wedding in Suffolk last weekend.
Paul collected my dad bang on time, texted me they were en-route and again on arrival. Return trip was also spot-on!
Wickford Taxis and Paul were brilliant! Highly recommended!

Ordered taxi to station, allowing plenty of time for pickup delay. When taxi was late I rang the office to be told they only had one driver as the rest had gone home! Promised I would be picked up within 20 mins. They never arrived so I ended up with a 30 min walk in the wind & rain to catch a later train. Appalling service

This morning 10’o clock i booked a cab to basildon hospital he asked me when’s your appointment and i told him at 10:15

While in cab I answered a video call and was on speaker. The cab driver asked me to take off speaker. I said let me finish my call. He put the volume up in the meantime without being patient.
Realising that i cut the call. And asked him to reduce volume and he refused to do that saying you didn’t cut the call when I asked u to.
I said you need to give me time to finish call.
He was rude and said im not gonna reduce volume despite me saying im getting headache.
He said i wont reduce do whatever u want I said I don’t want to go in your cab stop the car.
He stopped me at an a place near signal and asked me to get down. He said pay i said i dont want to pay the unfinished journey.

He was so rude he said he will take me back to wickford and wont take me to hospital inspite he knowing i have an appointment. He was shouting and arguing with me very rudely and he was soo loud on me
I called 999 and was telling them he is taking me somewhere and not dropping me at hospital and he changed his tone and volume down as soon as I was on phone with police
And stopped in front of police station. He said i will drop u at police station but not take u to hospital i said ok let me go inside and complaint
While the police was on phone he didn’t allow me to get down the cab and grabbed my bag so hard that was shocking and scary
I was seeking help and no one was there on road he was not letting me go down and go inside the station.
He was literally holding my bag so tight pulling it hard towards him which was pulling my hand.
I was shouting and the police officer came out by the time i was in trauma and was crying so badly.

His agenda was not to drop me at hospital and make me miss my appointment and I should pay him money and all this is just because i did not cut the call

And police was absolutely of no help
He told them I was not ready to pay he changed the situation and telling them i was not ready to pay Why would I not pay if he dropped me at destination!!! But they were not even ready to listen to me.

I was crying with no help the police made me pay and i didn’t even check how much he was charging and saw my payment confirmation he charged 2 times more than the actual price.

Very very arrogant cab driver when I tried to call the taxi company the same cab driver answered my phone and was being very sarcastic about my complaint i doubt it was him and cut the call.

Absolutely brilliant service. Nothing was too much trouble. My daughter left her phone in the car. The driver rang me the following morning and dropped it off for us. Outstanding example of a good taxi service who go above and beyond for their customers. We will certainly be using them again. Thank you 🙏
