Had the Clockwork boat which was very well laid out with reverse layout (kitchen at front). Was a nice, clean and comfortable boat. Log burner was very useful with the colder nights onboard. Accidentally knocked the rope into water while in tunnel that got wrapped around propeller. Thanks to Alan who came to our rescue to remove the rope which took an hour to removed. Excellent service. Will be back for more. Thanks Del, Ali and Henry the dog

Amazing sights and scenery during our trip. The route we were on had a reasonable amount of locks, tunnels, and aquedacts/viaducts. The facilities in our narrowboat were clean and easy to use. The beds were very comfortable and we all got a good night's sleep. Dog friendly as well although our dog is afraid of water I noticed that he still had a good time! 5 stars would go again!

I just returned from a two week trip on narrowboat Mallard from Whittington Warf Narrowboats. WOW. I had a great time. everything worked out perfectly. The boat was great for the trip. I was able to see all the sights including aqueducts, tunnels and some of the most beautiful countryside. The staff at Whittington Warf went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great trip. I would highly recommend them. 5 stars!

Our experience with Whittington Wharf and staff was exceptional!
From the first moment speaking with Kate I knew we were in good hands.
She went above and beyond to make our adventure the most amazing experience ever!
Once our boat was reserved, we had continued communication through email in helping us with maps, places to see and photos to preview. She went above and beyond connecting us to Wrexham where we most fortunately were able to get tickets to a game! The entire staff was kind and helpful upon our arrival and the boat very clean. We could not have asked for a more perfect adventure and would highly recommend anyone to go through Whittington Wharf company. The journey through Llangollen was spectacular! We will never forget our narrows boat trip and the wonderful people of Wales. Especially Kate of Whittington Wharf!

I cannot recommend Whittington Wharf Narrowboats enough. The entire process was flawless. Kate was a great help with choosing a boat and where to go before we even booked. We booked the Majestic. When we arrived we got a full run through of every system on the boat and rules and procedures and even had a driving lesson for several hundred yards. The boat was in tip top shape. We made it all the way to Langollen and back in 3 days. This place really made our trip memorable.

We have hired several canal boats in the past, our boat Carry On was exceptionally clean, the bed was comfortable and it was well equipped. I would certainly recommend this boat yard on the Llangollen Canal in our experience far better than some of the better known companies with lots of bases. The llangollen and Montgomery canals are peaceful, scenic and a delight, ideal for a first trip and a must for those who like canal boating.

Booked Mallard from Whittington for a week in early June. It was our first canal holiday. Shout out to Andy & Zac who talked us through the handover and explained how the locks worked. They recommended we headed East, in the direction of Ellesmere to get used to the boat before using the locks and heading west to Llangollen - which was great advice. Boat was clean and well equipped for the two of us - they really had thought of everything. The layout really works and makes for a comfortable break. Shorter than a lot of the boats we saw, it was easy to manoeuvre and quiet underway. The Llangollen Canal is beautiful. From the open countryside, locks, aqueducts, tunnels to Llangollen itself - loads to see and places to stop overnight. We would definitely do another canal break and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Whittington if you are thinking of doing the same. First class 👍
