Thank you to Russ and his team for arranging such an amazing walking tour.
Russ personally picked us up in Penzance to take us to the start of our tour in St. Ives!
We are a couple in our 60’s and this was our first walking tour. The walks were beautiful & yet still challenging in some areas. We met some wonderful people along the way & took in some incredible sights!
We found all the B&B’s & hotels booked for us were absolutely wonderful - with amazing hosts & breakfasts!
This experience on our trip to England is a memory we won’t ever forget. Thank you for everything!!

I spent a week in May hiking in Cornwall with Western Discoveries from St. Ives to Marazion. I had the best time! Russ personally picked me up from the bus and drove me to the first B&B, gave me the information packet and told me what to expect. The packet was great, I really loved the booklet which describes the trails and what to expect during the day and even had photos for 'tricky sections'. I personally didn't need the map because I used the provided GPS data and an app (Komoot). GPS data was accurate and I was happy I had that. I was using it only as backup. I was only twice not sure that I used the right trail. Once proved right. I just took one wrong turn and checked. I could immediately turn around. So I recommend using the GPS data.

All of the B&Bs were lovely, clean and the owners were very helpful! Especially Viv from the Field House in Pendeen (breakfast was amazing!) as well as Madie&Duncan from the Painters Cottage in St. Ives. My luggage was transported every day without any problems at all. Even a very last minute request for a t-shirt was made possible and delivered to my last B&B.

I travelled to Cornwall and walked alone the whole week. Not once did I feel unsafe and had access to every information I might need! I enjoyed it so much I'm already planning a hike next year. You'll hear from me soon, Russ 🙂 I highly recommend booking with Western Discoveries!

Great service from Russ & Matt. We did a six day trip from St Ives to Mousehole in early October. Everything worked perfectly. Good information in advance of the trip. Good choice of B&B. Highly recommended and a terrific walk.

We had such a lovely time on our walk! Everything went smoothly and we were wowed by how beautiful the walk was. We hit Sennen Cove on a bright, sunny afternoon which was perfect for walking along the beach barefoot. We saw a grey seal on our first day and choughs galore for the first few days.

The places we stayed were fantastic, especially the Tinner's Arms. We just loved how cozy it was, how friendly everyone was and hanging out in the pub with other walkers and locals was a great way to end the day. We loved Mousehole and we had a great room there at the very top of the building.

Thank you for such a great holiday. Having seen only a tiny portion of Cornwall, I want to return to explore more!
