Needed a relaxing break and West Lexham certainly delivered! Beautiful surroundings - felt quite magical! Stayed in a cabin in the woods with en suite opposite the lake. The grounds are lovely and very accessible for a mobility scooter. The cafe provided lovely, and reasonably priced food and drink. Felt very healthy! Never swam or used the boats but didn’t bother us. The staff were really friendly and informative, especially Chelsea. Would love to return!

My son (11) and I had two nights at West Lexham in one of the bell tents. The weather was amazing, we slept brilliantly and just loved boating up and down the river and swimming at least three times a day. We felt incredibly relaxed and safe.|The bathrooms were clean and customer service was great, if a little slow, but the overall atmosphere is sleepy and we needed that.|The one thing I would want to feed back is about the food offering. Breakfast is continental and good but a bit sparing. I very much wish they could provide some sort of lunch - as they have a captive audience - and the dinner offer isn't sure whether it is tapas or not. I feel like the cafe manager could be more confident, and provide full and healthy meals that would draw residents in at lunch and dinner time.

West Lexham is magical. Such a beautiful location and run in a truly thoughtful, generous way. I’ve stayed 3 times, twice in a bell tent and once in a treehouse (most recent visit in a bell tent). All three have been delightful. The cafe serves lovely home cooked food using lots of ingredient from the estate. The river is the perfect wild swimming spot and pool is great for kids (also love that it’s a natural pool without loads of horrid chemicals). So many picturesque places just to hang out and enjoy the most beautiful plants and trees. There is something so special about this place. ||Ps. I am utterly gobsmacked that anyone could give a negative review of west Lexham - what’s wrong with these people!? Wrong uns! (No shade). Ignore!

My wife and i have just arrived home from a 2 night stay at West Lexham . We came , to experience something different for my wife's birthday. and West Lexham didn't disappoint. |We arrived at about 2.30 pm , so a little early for our published 4pm check in time. We figured we would just walk around the area until we could access our tree house. But this wasn't an issue, there was a lovely young lady on the front desk that took our name and promptly walked us round the area, showing us points of interest and taking us to "Tinker" , out tree house home for the weekend. Tinker was everything my wife had hoped it would be, and exactly as advertised, it was a tree house, in a tree , in the woods, and as you would expect , there was spiders webs on the windows outside and bird poo on the balcony , its in the woods, surrounded by nature and all its glory, Inside , was wonderful, tidy, clean and well equipped, with a wood burner, a kettle , tea and coffee, a well made bed, bedside tables, in fact everything you'd expect , to be comfortable staying in for a few nights. |A short walk takes you to the shower block, 5 or 6 individual rooms , with a shower , sink and toilet . These rooms were spotlessly clean, a plentiful pile of toilet roll , and (at least the one i went in) with a perfectly working shower with easy to use temperate regulation, that stayed at a constant temperate , so no fluctuating hot to cold. |another very short walk sees you at the cafe/restaurant . Again a lovely clean area. I cant comment on the food here, as we were out all day and ate out before coming back. We did have the (included) breakfast though and that was very enjoyable , although i only had bacon sandwich and a cup of tea. A mention must be made though of the 2 young female members of staff that were working this weekend. those 2 young ladies are a credit to the business, polite, helpful and attentive.|We had a walk around the grounds on the Friday evening , all very well kept, a lot of plants that have clearly been planted to help and attract bees which is lovely to see.|We didnt go in the pool , but it looked clean and some people did use it while we were there and seemed to enjoy it.|We spent the daytime travelling and exploring the Norfolk coastal areas and this was a perfect, quirky base .|So in summary , a lovely clean, well run place that had some wonderful staff and everything we needed for a 2 night stay with a difference .|The lake was lovely and we had a go in one of the boats , but the little rings that hold the oars in place are broken and we are too weak to row without them , but am sure other people would manage , but we had a laugh for half an hour boing round in a circle.|One last thing to mention , which is no way a reflection of the accommodation or area, but we noticed some dog poo on some of the grassy areas, and there was a couple of dogs off leads there during our stay. But please , be responsible dog owners and pick up after your dog. It is not West Lexham's responsibility to do this for you,|Would we come back again? 100% we would |Just remember your in an actual tree house, in an actual forest area

We just returned from a five-night stay at West Lexham last weekend, and I’ve already recommended it to so many people. The place has a truly magical, peaceful energy — beautifully landscaped, with a serene lake and a kind, thoughtful team that made the experience even more special.|We really enjoyed making use of the beautiful library, kids’ yoga with Ella in the stunning Orangery, and the gorgeous, natural filtered swimming pool. One of the highlights for me was visiting the kitchen garden with Lucy and Amy — it was inspiring to see where all the food served in the restaurant is grown. The dinners were absolutely delicious, thoughtfully curated with fresh produce from the garden, and very reasonably priced. I hope they continue to keep it that way, as it made the whole experience feel more accessible and relaxed.||We stayed in a cabin without an ensuite and found it no issue at all — the shared facilities were less than a one-minute walk away, even with our two-year-old toddler. She was able to cycle safely around the site on her balance bike, and the whole place felt incredibly safe and welcoming for families.||Highly recommend staying here — we can’t wait to return!

We recently stayed in one of the self-catering huts without a bathroom at West Lexham. Having stayed here two years ago, I was disappointed to discover that the self-catering facilities that were previously available are no longer offered. On our previous visit, we enjoyed having a BBQ and preparing our own meals, which was a big part of the experience for us.||This time, we had to rely on the café. Although the food is locally sourced, I wouldn’t say it’s worth the price — £15 for a continental breakfast (with no cooked options) felt quite expensive for what was provided.||On a positive note, we did enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the communal bathrooms were spotless. However, we didn’t sleep well at all; the pillows were far too soft and kept sliding down the gap between the mattress and the bed frame, which was very uncomfortable.||Unfortunately, given the changes and the cost, we feel that West Lexham no longer offers good value for money, and we won’t be returning.

West Lexham is absolutely stunning! We recently stayed in the ‘Ash’ Tree Temple with our 5 year old daughter and had a lovely and cosy two night stay. Highlights of our visit were walking the stunning grounds - we had beautiful weather and the site is just breathtaking. Lucy in the kitchen garden is an absolute gem with a wealth of knowledge - be sure to take a walk up to see her if you are into growing food as she really has created something special. Breakfast was delicious and served by a very friendly member of staff whose name I can’t remember but she was lovely! Only downside was that the pool wasn’t open as advertised but we still had a relaxing and enjoyable stay and will definitely return!

Just wow …. West Lexham is truly magical … from the moment you park up and walk in. 🥰
Myself and friends have stayed many times and absolutely love the relaxed vibe … life is too fast and this is a chance to slow down.
Our visit this time was for the ‘Herbal Workshop’ a collaboration with ‘Britten's Botanicals’ …. A wonderful morning was spent sipping tea in the conservatory and learning about the healing, holistic and wonder of herbs. Alya is an absolutely beautiful person a font of wonderful knowledge and advice. She communicates everything with such a passion thank you 🙏🏻
We had the most delicious lunch made by Naomi , Alya and team … a recipe book surely in the making!
Lucy, organic/biodynamic grower at West Lexham then gave us a tour of the amazing bountiful vegetable and herb garden she has created with her team and another Wow for this 🌽 Like Alya she is an extremely interesting and passionate person for what they do and believe … loved it!
The afternoon was spent by the natural pool soaking everything in. Then a delicious cuppa before we dragged our heels back to the car to weave our way home. I cannot thank you all enough and am so excited for more …. Think I’ll be repeating what ever you give us over and over again. Love and thanks to you all.
