I went on the “Three Isles Tour” today. It should be renamed “A lot of mucking about for a couple of hours on Iona”
Why George the bus driver thought the passengers would want a recount of the price of individual grocery items & how it’s unaffordable to live on Mull & that his friend makes home brew, I will never understand. Just tiring blather, not information for tourists.
Sadly, when the blather made sense, we couldn’t actually see what he was talking about from the side bus windows.
The boat to Staffa couldn’t land because the tide was low. Why schedule a boat at a time when it can’t land? We sat in the swell “to see what this swell would do” for quite some time, circled the island (which wasn’t much different on different sides) and really the whole trip was a waste: it would have been better to just go straight to Iona, and have time to do things like use the toilet, have a coffee at one of the cafes etc, or stop for lunch on Mull.
Sad, sad disappointing experience.

Well did the the Isle tour the early one couldn't fault the service cal mac ferry's as well brilliant return journey back to Craignure well Andrew the coach drivers knowledge brilliant thank you so much for an awesome day out well done everyone 👍👍👍

Friendly driving assesment trainer.patient let me get familiar with bus usually about bus ten mins.all vehicles different .warned me before hand any potential tight spots how deal with it.great help .thoroughly enjoyed it.bring it on

We paid for a return bus trip from Craignure to Fionnphort for the 3 of us was £46 which we felt was a bit steep considering the return Oban/Mull ferry was only £21. Lovely bus journey across the isle of Mull which there is a an automated audio guide that provides history of the island which was nice.

Overall no issues except on what busses non-tour passengers are to take, we were told conflicting stories by the Staff at the West Coast Office and the Stewards at the Ferry Port in Craignure and did cause a bit of chaos in Fionnphort which was left to the drivers to sort.

The above isn't a criticism at all especially the staff who to be fair were great and clearly work hard but just an observation that this really needs looking at by West Coast and hasn't put us off using them as and when we return in the future.

Big shoutout to our driver Andrew from Edinburgh, the guy is a legend and did a stirling job in sorting the above issue out.

I was in Oban a few weeks ago and the trains were all unfortunately cancelled. I was trying to get to Bridge of Orchy and the closest the rail replacement bus would have got me was Tyndrum or Crianlaric.

The wonderful lady here knew that there was a citylink coach from Tyndrum to Bridge of Orchy that would would with the times of the replacement bus.

Excellent local knowledge that prevented a ridiculous round about trip via Fort William or being stuck in Crianlaric at the mercy of Scotrail.
