A beautiful retreat, family friendly, so calm and peaceful. Lovely caravans for sale (something to suit a range of budgets), the site is very well maintained and is so beautiful. My daughters are both autistic and we have struggled with family holidays for years (both abroad and in the UK), we had almost given up on going away and then we found Watermill Leisure Park. We bought our caravan in September 2024 and have just spent Christmas and New Year there - best Christmas and New Year we have ever had. Calm, peaceful, beautiful weather, lots of family walks and lazy afternoons watching films snuggled up in our caravan. If you're after peace and quiet, beautiful surroundings, quality family time and options for visits and activities locally this is the place for you!

Overall this was a really nice place to stay and we would definitely come here again. The location is ideal, the facilities were good and staff were very friendly.

However, the stay could have been even better with a couple of changes. The bathroom wasn't very clean (there was mould on the ceiling, hair in the shower and a squashed bug on the wall). We would have liked a couple more supplies i.e. toilet roll and bin bags in the room as we were only given one of each. The TV in the lodge was very high on the wall and couldn't be angled so we had to crane our necks to watch it. The walls could do with a touch up as they had lots of marks on them. The curtains were useless - very thin so my partner said he could see everything I was doing through them, and then the kitchen windows didn't have any curtains at all which made it difficult to sleep considering the bed was in view of them. Also would have been nice to have a shop on site with some bait considering the fishing facilities.

Overall the stay was very good and there was nothing majorly wrong, just a few comments which would have made the stay great.

We spent 2 nights in the Hideaway Lodge VIP

The overall experience was great. Unfortunately quite tricky to find based on the instructions provided by AirBNB but we did find it eventually. The staff we spoke with briefly were all incredibly friendly and helpful.

The site is stunning and a really nice place to be. There is a bar on site but we didn’t explore this.

We stayed in the middle lodge, I believe number 2. The hot tub was great, the view was amazing and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. We really enjoyed ourselves.

The lodge was very clean and clearly to a high standard. We were provided with numerous towels & two robes. The lodge facilities include parking directly outside, a small drinks fridge, an air fryer, a TV with live broadcasts and a kettle.

The nearest supermarket is around a 15 minute drive away. This place is ideal for a couples getaway, to relax and chill. I wouldn’t recommend this if you constantly need to be busy with activities as there isn’t generally a great deal to do in the nearby towns and villages. For us this wasn’t an issue at all.

Note to anyone looking to visit, there is no Wi-Fi, and we struggled to get a mobile phone signal for data (4G) on Vodafone & EE. If you’re looking to work away from home or watch Netflix etc unfortunately it wasn’t possible for us so just a heads up. Completely appreciate this is uncontrollable by the host so this doesn’t impact my review, I have only included it as a point of reference as personally we were going to watch some Netflix but weren’t able too.

If you fancy a takeaway during your stay we would NOT recommend Pizza House which was a local takeaway, it was pricey & very poor quality.

The only reason that this break wasn’t a 5 star for us was the bed. Unfortunately the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and we found it hard to sleep consistently throughout the night because of the very loud creaking sounds and general discomfort of the bed. Unfortunately a bit of a let down especially when everything else was fantastic.

The best park and lodge we have been to and we have had a few trips the last few years. We loved it so much we have booked again for january. My little boy said it was the best birthday ever he caught a 10lb carp and we caught plenty of fish. Honestly didnt want to leave! One thing that would have been great was a mop but honestly that just because we wantrd to mop up near the door. Thank you so much can not wait to come back 😍

We stayed for 3 nights in the Hideaway Lodge. Lovely location in the Lincolnshire wolds, and not far for us to travel to get here.
The lodge itself is small, could do with a better shower for a start, very weak flow, but it's usable. We did have an issue on our first night with the pipework having a faulty pressure valve which made a terrible noise through the night, however we reported it the following morning and it was sorted that same morning, so couldn't ask for more 👍 also were given 2 bottles of wine for the inconvenience which was very nice. Hot tub was lovely and the fire pit was a nice addition too and this lodge faced away from every other resident so it's very private (until the trains go by)

Our only real complaint is that, as mention above, you're right next to the railway line. The small passenger trains are not really an issue as there are only 2-3 carriages but being woken up at 5am by very noisy and very long goods trains isn't the best... Keep this in mind if you're a light sleeper!

It's a lovely park though has a bar but no shop or restaurant/take away but we were told these are future additions possibly...

Despite the few issues we enjoyed our stay and it was a reasonable price.
