We recently visited Waterloo Park, and it was a delightful experience. The park is incredibly beautiful, featuring a large kids' water play area that was a hit with the children. The entire park is well-maintained, with clean grounds and gorgeous flowers blooming all over.

There is also a small food area where you can buy treats like ice cream and chocolates, perfect for a quick snack while enjoying the park. The parking is quite small but it's free, which is a nice bonus.

The attached images showcase the vibrant atmosphere and beautiful features of the park:

1. Kids' Water Play Area: The water play area is spacious and fun, as you can see from the numerous kids enjoying the water fountains.
2. Beautiful Staircase: One of the park's scenic spots is a grand stone staircase surrounded by lush gardens.
3. Lovely Walkway: The covered walkway offers a shaded path with picturesque views, perfect for a leisurely stroll.
4. Park Map and Sign: The entrance sign provides useful information about the park's layout and amenities.

Overall, Waterloo Park is a fantastic place for families and nature lovers alike. We highly recommend visiting for a relaxing and enjoyable day out.

This is a really good affordable park to take the children. Make sure you take a towel and change of clothes/swim wear as they're is a rare splash pad!
Down side as we visited after the weekend and by lunch time my 7 Yr old son complained there was no toilet in the Gents public toilets and the ladies were in an awful state!
The cafe was open and looked week used.

Beautiful city centre park. Not huge but big enough for a lovely walk around. Nice water feature. Cafe is good serving a variety of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Quite a good sized car park. Dog friendly.

Big open space ? with cleverly planted borders, tennis courts, playground ? cafe and fountain.
Cafe has always had exceptional coffees and budget friendly food.
Great for meeting friends with dogs ? and/or children ? outside and indoor seating.

?️ two parking areas one is bigger than the other ! The biggest is off Angel Road and has always had a space when I have visited at varying times over the weekend over the years.

? toilets are clean and disability friendly, there is also a quiet zone for those that need it.

Always seems a lovely central place to meet people without having to head deep into the city ?️
