Wandering Aengus did a fantastic job customizing a Hadrian’s Wall trip in March with extended family members joining and leaving at different points. Pre-trip communication was on-point, the organization was immaculate, accommodations were varied in style, but all lovely, luggage transfer and transportation was seamless. Took all the stress of planning away.

We had a fantastic week walking in Lake District/Heart of the Lakes. Very good service before the trip, well organized, so nice accommodations, beautiful walks…And the weather was fine! Thank you very much, Karen and Pete, from The Swedish Eleven

We used WA for a 20-day complete Pennine Way trek. It was our first such self-guided trek in the UK, and it proved a brilliant experience. Using WA to deal with the nightmare of finding and booking accommodation was a great choice. They did this super-efficiently, referring back to us with the occasional query, leaving us to concentrate on the walking. Baggage transfer also removed the grind of carrying heavy packs on what is already a demanding walk. Many thanks Karen and Pete - we had a great time.

Our Hadrian's Wall Walk could not have been better. The walk information packet was well organized and very thorough, the accommodations were wonderful, our luggage was transported efficiently with no issues whatsoever. We very much appreciated the dinner reservations and restaurant referrals. Everything was absolutely seamless - If only Karen and Pete could have planned the weather for us as well as they did everything else, it would have been perfectly perfect! I highly recommend and will definitely book through them again. Thank you!!!

The ideal introduction to walking in the Lake District for the very first time - Wandering Aengus made it very easy for us to just arrive, walk (without rucksacks, as they were transported to our next accommodation), and take in the beauty and scale of the Lakes. Wonderful and would definitely use again.

I nearly died (my mistake and long story) and my wife fell and damaged her knee half-way ironically as we were walking on pavement heading into Keswick. So we took the bus between towns for the last half of the trip. The locals lamented that the rains were much heavier than they should have been for late May, early June. So more adventure than we thought but we had a great time. By the way -- we visited NHS clinics twice about the knee. What a treat! Caring professionals and, astounding to an American, not one question about how we were going to pay for it.

Wandering Aengus was terrific from beginning to end. Clear, responsive communications, excellent documents for navigating all aspects of the trip. Restaurant recommendations were good and all the places we stayed were very nice. Our luggage, as promised, was promptly moved from one town to the next.

My wife and I happily recommend.

We booked to walk the Pennine Way with Wandering Aengus. We've used a good few walking holiday companies and they're undoubtedly the best. Helpful and professional with booking (and re-booking due to Covid). Accommodation and baggage transfer faultless and directions to accommodations easy and reliable, which has often not been true of others.

An 8 day Dalesway trek with 6 adults and a dog. Excellent organisation by Wandering Aengus, good accommodation along the way and good support when one of our walkers had to miss a day. Recommended.
