Booked a 6 seater taxi to arrive at 3pm taking us to Colchester. At 3.15 pm as it had not arrived I thought it best to call them to see when it was due. I was unbelievably informed that the taxi driver had gone home ill and that they had left a voicemail on my phone to let me know. This was not true as I had no voicemail or missed call from them. When I asked what number they called he told me he couldn’t see the number as he’d tip-exed it out. Clearly lying.

Unbelievably rude. NOT RECOMMENDED. Hung up on me after telling me to get stuffed!

Called at 7.30pm to ask if I could book a cab for the next morning to take me from my hotel to my business meeting. The hotel had given me their number.

The guy who answered told to call back in the morning. I asked if they were sure they'd be able to get me a cab in time for my meeting if I waited until the morning.

The guy then said, it would depend on when and where and at what time.

I responded that I couldn't really chance it, and needed to get a cab secured that evening and they had been recommended by the hotel, so what did he suggest I do.

He then replied extremely gruffly, that if I was going to be funny about it I could get stuffed — then promptly hung up.

I can only assume they don't need the business?! Regardless, what happened to a bit of common decency and customer service.

I shall be recommending that the Lifehouse Hotel and Spa remove them from the list of recommended taxis if this is the way they treat all their customers.

Very quick service even knocked at my dot when he arrived and I was a little stressed as I was getting my mot done he was very insightful when it came to another service garage where I would possible get a job done for a lot cheaper and with a more honest service so that was very kind of him.
