Wow - what an amazing 3 day learning to sail course my son has just completed at Walton and Frinton Yacht Club. He took part in the Stage 1 RYA sailing. He can’t wait to get back to start stage 2! Thank you to all the amazing instructors that really helped him, he hasn’t stopped talking about all the brilliant things he learnt and got up to!

I want to share what an absolute joy it’s been for my children to take part in the sailing training at walton marina. Every course including. rya sailing levels 1 , 2, 3 and 4 have been inclusive and fun. They have learned great skills. The learn to sail programme is one of the best I have ever experienced . So much heart. Heidi who leads the programme is wonderful. She helped my daughter to get the experience she needed to pass her gcse sailing. My son loves sailing and looks forward to following his sister and getting his rya powerboat and safety boat license. The families are friendly and welcoming and Heidi and crew run lots of Rya onboard sessions on saturdays and races on sundays. you can do as much or as little as you want. 5 stars from us for sure!

Beautiful views from the club, we enjoy using the sailing facilities, and enjoying the food and drink. Perfect for paddleboarding as well. A great social atmosphere and room hire facilities

I did a BSUPA ready to ride 2 hour course with my two teenage kids. The teachers were patient and knowledgeable and we learned a lot. Perhaps most importantly we were taught safety precautions like tide and wind and local conditions.

Apologies for the review from Linda Russell which in no way was the views of the rest of our party. We had a fantastic day for our 50th anniversary excellent food and drinks and a great venue staff were excellent. We were not hounded out at 8pm it was by mutual agreement to finish. We would use this club again for any future occasions needless to say one person will not be invited.

Went for a very special 50th anniversary family get together, food was great, staff however not so much. 29 guests all eating and drinking, a fortune was put over the bar and yet they saw fit to chuck everyone out at 8 pm on a Saturday night. Miserable staff who stood and watched us as if to say “ hurry up and go”. Serving staff were putting food in the table saying it must be this table because the other table all have theirs, very impatient. Not a welcoming place at all. Will certainly not be going back.

I recently completed the RYA powerboat level 2 course with Walton and Frinton Yacht Club. I can't praise Heidi and AJ enough, very professional and great instructors, I learnt so much over the weekend. Now to put all this into practice,
