I booked the Winchester Alfred Ghost trail for myself and 6 friends last Saturday night. It was superb. The moon was full, and Winchester full of people celebrating giving an eerie back drop as we dropped into the dark and quiet cathedral close and quiet backstreets of Winchester on our tour to discover some of the famous and not so famous lives of people from Winchester past. Bryan, our guide was knowledgeable, funny, and catered well for us ladies. We live near Winchester but all of the information was new to us. Worth every penny and I highly recommend to everyone, tourists and locals alike.

Great and atmospheric experience on the Alfred the Great Ghost Trail in Winchester. Bryan was entertaining, personable and knowledgable in a 1000+ year walk through the social, royal and often bloody and mysterious history - where Winchester is centrally important but also a microcosm of broader English history. Carefully planned, thoughtful and, yes, a bit spooky - with no hills to limit accessibility. Would recommend.

Our guide was a twelve out of ten: punctual, friendly, funny and an expert in his matter. He said friendly sentences in Spanish to make the students laugh and answered the questions kindly. It was such a complete and entertaining visit thanks to his charisma. Definitely recommended.
