Attended an excellent basic navigation course today. The group were really friendly and like minded. Sarah made me feel at ease with her teaching methods and combined both theory and practical learning. I really feel empowered and more confident to put what I’ve learned into practice using a map and compass. I also feel that by doing this I am able to explore the countryside both in a group but more importantly solo!
Thank you very much!

Had a fabulous day with Sarah and Emily. Sarah was a great walk leader and made the walk really interesting by stopping at some really scenic spots and sharing some of the history on the way. The walk was really well organised and I was made to to feel very welcome and comfortable in the group from the start - lovely to meet spend the day with such a great group of like minded ladies too. We finished the day with a wild water dip under the instruction of Emily, which was great fun - Emily was really knowledgeable and encouraging and I absolutely loved the experience. The hot drinks provided by Sarah were very much appreciated after the cold water, and Emily’s chocolate brownies were amazing ! A really great experience which I would thoroughly recommend - thank you Sarah and Emily - I can’t wait to join you for another day out !! 🤩

The recent 'Women's practical navigation day' run by Sarah (Price) was both hugely informative and great fun. We spent the first half of the day learning to navigate with OS map and compass then after lunch using the OS app to navigate. Sarah has a wealth of knowledge in lowland walking, which she readily imparts in a calm and logical way, which gave me huge confidence to take my map and compass and explore the countryside around my new home, which I have done!
I would absolutely recommend this day to anyone who wishes to walk in this beautiful area but lacks the confidence to do so, this will give you the practical skills to do it and it's great fun!

I had a great day out walking up Allt yr Esgair with Sarah from Walk Hay, who tailored a walk for me based on my interests and fitness levels. We took in a lot of lovely landscape and some history along the way and finished the walk in the loveliest bird hide I have ever visited (I had mentioned I liked birdwatching and I really appreciated this being added to the itinerary) on the shore of Llangors Lake.
I much appreciated the pace and Sarah’s commentary as we walked which was well pitched.
Sarah is great company and a very experienced guide. Highly recommend!

Sarah took us on a wonderful walk around Hay which was absolutely perfect for the whole family. She made it interesting and fun for the three children (two two year olds and a five year old) while being informative and easy going for the adults. The three kids loved searching for the things on their clipboards and making use of the the mini-binoculars. A really great way to learn more about this beautiful town!

Quite a while ago, we went on a lovely family walk with Sarah on a ridiculously hot day. She was incredibly lovely and kind even though we were a loud bunch of two adults and four young children who weren't particularly happy about the heat and had their fair share of 'moments'. She adjusted the walk as we went along and made it fun for the little ones and honestly was amazing. I kept meaning to write a review earlier because of how impressed we were but it slipped my mind until a photo came up in my memories today and reminded me and we all have such fond memories. Thankyou Sarah.

Sarah's Walk for Wellbeing course has been a true gamechanger...I gained so much confidence to go on longer walks again and push myself out of my comfort zone . This was greatly helped by Sarah's enthusiasm and encouragement, whatever the weather or terrain, on every single walk. My mental health benefitted massively, too. Can't wait to join the longer walks with Walk Hay now. Highly recommended!!!

Such an informative and enjoyable day out in fantastic countryside with a great group of women. Sarah encouraged us all to apply what we were learning and take turns to lead the walk with safety and support as key ingredients.
