Not one to usually write negative reviews but, oh my goodness, people need to be warned about this company!!!

I travel for work constantly and I will NEVER use Veezu in any location ever again. I booked two journeys at the same time and was assured I could pay card but when the driver arrived he said it had to be cash because Veezu take more money from him with card payments and don't give the drivers the fare for 2 weeks or more. As this was a work expense I was paying on the company credit card so couldn't get cash out, which the driver got aggressive about and said I needed to pay via a link that was text to me in that case. The link didn't come through because I'd booked the taxi from my company's central number and not my mobile so I had to call to have the number changed and the link sent again to my mobile. The driver complained it was taking too long and was agitated and aggressive the entire time. The link finally came through and I paid the fare but the driver then wouldn't let me out until he'd received confirmation that the payment had gone through his end (despite me showing him the completed payment screen) and I was basically held hostage in the car for fifteen minutes.

I had already booked my return journey with the same company so I called them again on my lunch break to ensure that I could pay card and to make sure they had my mobile number if I needed to pay via a link again. I assumed I'd just had one bad driver and that this couldn't possibly be standard protocol so I double checked again that I could DEFINITELY pay card and was assured I could. The return journey the driver ( a different guy) demanded cash again and when I explained the earlier situation he said to call the company and have them send the payment link so he wouldn't have to wait around after dropping me off. Nobody picked up the phone. No link came through. We arrived at the destination and I had to sit in the back of the taxi desperately trying to get through to the company so I could pay the fare with their convoluted link system. I nearly missed my train home and I was so anxious trying to get this driver his payment as he got increasingly agitated (though was at least more understanding than the first driver and not as aggressive, just frustrated).

Veezu - either tell customers your drivers only take cash or give them card readers like every other taxi company in 2025. This was a horrible, stressful experience and I would recommend anyone planning to use this company avoid them like the plague!!!

(UPDATE: I just received my most recent credit card statement and found I was charged THREE TIMES for my journey!! I tried calling the company but was told they couldn't do anything about it over the phone and to fill in a feedback form where someone might get back to me within 10 days. These people are con artists - AVOID AVOID AVOID!!)

The driver was going the wrong way deliberately to get extra money. He took the long way round to the destination without cause.
He did not follow the map and did it twice, first when we left the Sheffield children's hospital at roundabout instead of turning on the second exit he went forward to make the journey longer.
He was saying that he only been to Rotherham once but then he mentioned the crematorium which is very near my house. So he knew exactly where he was going but lied.
On the last roundabout very close to my house instead of following the map and exit he keep turning and exited on a different exit to go all way around just to get to my address.
I paid £21.80 from my address to the hospital, and the return i paid £24.10.
I will not use this company again.
When it was city taxis I never had any problems. I should've read the reviews in advance.

Called up the company and spoke to a representative while the taxi driver assaulted me with the cab door, swore at me and made me feel very unsafe as a young female. The representative heard the entire convo but because I had too many bags in the cab apparently his behaviour is completely acceptable even though I did not behave the same. Driver was speeding the whole way and even had to brake harshly just before he hit a truck as he was too busy shouting at me on the speaker to watch the road. Terrible company, do not recommend, they don’t take claims seriously and I’m concerned for other young females. My man concern is if I had too many belongings why did the driver accept the journey instead of cancelling? He then proceeded to ask me to pay him £300 to move 7 large shopping bags and a computer chair.

Taxi in time but went the wrong way. The link pay is awful .i am dyslexic and find it hard to see so it takes ages and driver agitated then not believing the payment confirmation details and this also taking time to come through. Pressure to save bank details in my phone which I try not to to avoid risk if phone lost or stolen as it is not subject to same protection as cards. I would massively prefer a normal card reader or voice activated system. It would put me off using taxi again in future as it takes so long and causes arguments as we can’t all see the same screen. Driver saying it hasn’t gone through when my phone showing it had and office taking time to confirm also a risk of being made to pay twice.

My daughter left her phone in taxi tonight. The driver brougt it back for her didn't want to charge her fair for bringing it back. She had to force him to take some money can't fault this company at all . Thanks to the lovely driver for being honest much appreciated

The driver was lovely, but what I wasn't aware of is that if you pre order your taxi you are charged an extra £1.50. On my app it told me my fare would be #4.80 but in actual fact it was 6.50 which is disgusting especially when they haven't informed the customers of any price changes
