I contacted this company In relation to a mtb frame I wanted powder coating ready for a race in a nice pearlescent purple.
They told me to order the paint myself which I thought was strange.
I ordered the two kg they told
Me they required.
They used 1/4 of a kg?
So waster of money 1
Then having agreed a cost for the job I had an email asking for £25 more to sand blast
All the time time ticks away.
After a couple of weeks I had an email saying to collect the finished frame.
I had a friend grab it on the way home.
It turned up and I was horrified!
Came back brown/slight purple tinge.
Also all the threads were thickly painted over
All the bolts were not removed as agreed and painted in to the frame
So I had them sand blast it all again and went elsewhere having wasted £65 missing my event and having a bare metal frame that I now have to pay to get painted!

VPC completed a very small job for me which has finished off my restoration project brilliantly. The finish on the item is amazing and so much better than spray paint for this application. I want to add that their friendly customer service is 2nd to none, would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

Vale Powder Coatings made an exquisite job of my vintage radio front panel that really was very much the worse for wear. This was a renovation project with a lot of sentimental value and I can honestly say that the finished result looks way better than the original! The paintwork is of a really high standard. The radio is now sitting proudly on my desk and I can't stop myself from constantly glancing across at it. Unbelievable job for which I am extremely grateful. Thank you for the time and care you have taken.

Not the professional level I had expected. I took some bmx parts in to be powder coated, Long story short the areas I asked to have masked off was sprayed and it prevented me from being able to re assemble them (particularly the fine tolerance spline shaft and threads on the cranks). There was also sections on a wheel that looked like it had a bad reaction and was essentially an awful job.

They agreed to rectify the issue by shot blasting and powder coating again using better prep work, and even said it would be a fast turn around.

I just got the parts back after waiting over a week (it took a day the first time around). Still no joy. The wheel is much better but there is a spot where the powder coat didn’t adhere and is peeling away. In fairness to them there was apparently adhesive from a sticker making things difficult, though surely that was the point of shot blasting? Frustratingly this wheel was fairly new and didn’t actually need coating but I wanted it to match the other one they did.
The cranks are now useless. Aside from a rough job in some areas there is now coating on some of the other threads and the spline shaft still won’t fit. I have no choice but to replace these.

The company said that ideally they shouldn’t have taken the job on because of the poor condition of parts but some parts did turn out great because they were prepped properly (these parts were prepped by myself). It seems to me that they either don’t do any pre prep at all or I am somehow better at it than they are.

On a positive note they did give me a full refund. However the cost of my time, fuel, and now having to replace the cranks that they have written off has cost me a lot more than what they initially charged.

First attempt fair enough, second attempt is unforgivable. I would advise you to look elsewhere unless you’re happy with a a slightly above amateur level of quality.

Also their communication is the worst I have known, but apparently that’s facebook’s fault (I don’t think they are aware that I can see when they have read my messages).

Credit where credit is due, the frame and forks came out great. But I did prep these myself so perhaps that’s why.

What can I say..
These guys are honest and professional and have never let me down, painted items from radiators,Light fittings, to table and chair legs all finished beautifully,quickly and really reasonable prices.
They don't have the facility to strip existing paint finish but they know a man who can..
