Our most heartfelt thanks to Archie and Uniquely Scotland for organizing such a wonderful trip for us. Communication was very easy and smooth from the first, and the whole trip was both amazing and comfortable. Archie is knowledgeable, entertaining and sensitive to his clients' preferences. It was a pleasure to enjoy the scenery and leave the driving to him! (especially after enjoying a "wee dram" in the beautiful, off-the-beaten-path natural locations he shared with us.) My husband and I and the other couple we traveled with have only positive feedback to give.

We spent four wonderful days with Archie Stirling-Laird seeing his native Highlands and the isle of Skye through his eyes and stories. He works with you to tailor-make your itinerary and knows the land, places to stay and restaurants like the back of his hand.

He also plays the pipes and, whenever your spirits need reviving, offers you "wee drams" of his favorite single malt whisky aged in old sherry casks and kept in the whisky box of his front seat.

He's charming, knows his Scottish history inside out, and provides unique perspectives to his stunningly beautiful country. We're a retired couple of seniors and very much appreciated Archie's understanding of our energy and physical limitations.

We highly recommend Uniquely Scotland and Archie for just that -- a unique guided visit to Scotland.

Archie and team planned a 7-day custom train trip around the Highlands, including a ferry to Isle of Skye, for us and all details were spot-on, from accommodations to ideal transport times. That left us with the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beauty - and to do the fun research of how to fill our days with sightseeing. Highly recommend!

We just returned from a trip to Scotland that included a 10 day tour in a Uniquely Scotland van with Archie. Right from the start I liked this company. We are Outlander fans and have ancestors from Scotland so wanted to see the country, important heritage sites for us, and fun Outlander filming locations. Uniquely Scotland was the only tour group that responded to me quickly, and addressed my questions about a desire to customize a tour described on their website. After booking, they made all the arrangements for hotels and sites, buying advance tickets for things needing pre-booking so nothing was left to chance.

As soon as we met Archie outside our hotel on day 1, we felt right at home. Archie knows Scotland inside and out plus he is a professional tour guide with an actual degree in the field. Archie was always early, kept us on schedule throughout the day, adjusted to make stops we wanted, made dinner reservations with our input, ensured hotels were all set before we emptied the luggage, and knew when to inject relevant music during quiet times in the van. He was always engaging and fun; easy to spend 10 days with.

A huge thank you to Archie for a fantastic 3 day tour of Scotland. Archie has a brilliant knowledge of Scotland, in terms of its geography, history, hidden gems and fabulous places to eat. He put together a bespoke itinerary to cater for my specific interests and it certainly did not disappoint, he even squeezed in a few extras along the route to accommodate my love of castles! The most amazing memory, which will be forever etched in my head, is the moment he played the bagpipes on the shores of Loch Awe beside Kilchurn Castle, with my wee dram in hand. He's a real Scotsman (despite the accent lol) and even wore his kilt, this really made the experience authentic and completely exceed my expectations of Scotalnd, which I have now fallen in love with. I will most certainly be back and would highly recommend Archie and his Uniquely Scotland tours!

Uniquely Scotland did a tremendous job organizing our train trip through Scotland. Archie arranged all train tickets and accommodations. He gave us a detailed booklet with ideas for things to see and where to eat in each location, maps, phone numbers, emergency contacts---Edinburgh-Ft. Williams-Isle of Skye-Inverness-Pitlochry-St. Andrews-Back to Edinburgh. All accommodations were perfect, easy walk to train stations. We would recommend him without hesitation. First time in Scotland, but would love to go back again.
