Absolutely fantastic trip on the Ullswater steamer boat this morning. It was -6 degrees on arrival and was definitely a cold one! But the staff were so helpful and informative.
The Staff on the boat were so friendly and welcoming, gave great recommendations for dinner too! The scenery from the boat was incredible and our little cockapoo loved it too! Thank you so much!

We took a boat tour this past weekend while in the Lake District. The round trip tour is stunning. Such a magical place (The Lake District). The boats we took were nice. The outdoor deck was great on our outbound trip as it was very sunny outside. The return trip was a bit colder, so we sat below deck which was nice and comfortable. The mountains surrounding the Lake are absolutely beautiful.

The only bad thing about the entire trip was as we were arriving on a connecting boat (from Aira Force Waterfalls), the connecting boat did not wait for us. They would have seen our boat pulling up, but they decided to pull away just as we were getting to their boat. They definitely knew a boat was arriving and still pulled away. We had to wait for another boat. This was rather rude and inconsiderate on their part as they could easily have seen out boat docking. We waited inside for the next boat and the staff on hand were very kind to offer us hot beverages on the house.

We enjoyed our visit (despite one captain who ignored a boat pulling up to connect with the return boat. We were very lucky that there was ONE more boat of the day or who knows how we would have got back to our car).

My Rating:

1. Outbound Ferry Ride and Crew: 5 Stars
2. Ferry Ride to Aira Force Waterfall: 5 Stars
4. Return Ferry from Aira Force Waterfall: 5 Stars
5. Captain on Connecting Ferry who left early: ZERO Stars (hope he got over whatever bad day he was having)
6. Staff while we waited for the next Ferry: 5 Stars
7. Return Ferry Ride and Staff: 5 stars.

One employee can ruin a day and or a trip for your customers. Don’t be that bad employee. Customer Service matters.

Visited while on our Lakes holiday. It wasn't the nicest of days but still went and so glad we did. Arrived at the station and boarded the fantastic Lady Of The Lake boat. Great helpful staff helped us board and then enjoyed a lovely trip along the lake and finished our trip ay Pooley Bridge. A great way to enjoy what Ullswater Lake has to offer.

Thoroughly enjoyed our return trip on the Ullswater Steamers from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding.
Plenty of seating options, both inside and outside.
The views are stunning, took so many photos as the weather was amazing too.
Cafe on board, where you can get hot and cold refreshements and snacks.
It takes about 1 hour one way, so 2 hours sailing for £24.00 isn't too bad.
Friendly and welcoming staff throughout.
A must if you are visiting the area.

Nice way to spend a couple of hours on a cold day. One drawback is the expensive parking at the terminal. It was at Glenridding pier £6 for the three hours required for the round trip.
