In summer 2019, as a family of 22, we booked a once in a lifetime US Disney Land holiday for 2020, to the value of £32k.
This was cancelled through Covid, after the £32k was fully paid.
Travel Planners refused to refund any of the money and held it for when the restrictions were lifted. Once certain restrictions had lifted the costs had gone up a further £10k, but with certain excursions unavailable as a group we decide to cancel. Again Travel Planners refused our money back and luckily the people who paid by credit card were refunded direct, however as our family of 5 who paid by debit card, we had no joy.
Travel Planners said they wouldn't refund us and a voucher was in place until July 2023 and we would have to take them to court if we wanted a monetary refund.
The original court hearing September 2022 was adjourned due to incorrect paperwork and evidence by Travel Planners, we then had to endure 5 further cancelled Court Dates, all through Travel Planner issues and eventually our case was completed middle of this month, March 2024.
The judge refused our monetary claim but advised we hadn't lost anything as the voucher is still in place.
After repeated emails to Travel Planners we have now been advised that the Credit Voucher has expired and despite talking to Customer Services pleading our case Travel Planners have not only left us out of Pocket, they have even failed to the honour the Judges legal ruling.
Travel Planners have no empathy, no morals, behave unscruptiosly and should be avoided at every opportunity.

Do not use this company bunch of cowboys they tell lies and when you need their help they do not want to know . All they quote is terms and conditions nothing else they avoid your questions.
Only giving 1 star as you cannot select none.
We had to cancel due to family reasons tried to amend booking but to no avail as all they want was so much extra money. After this we asked about getting some of the deposit back but told no as per conditions. This we understood however when we booked we were flying BA with a £300 deposit we asked to fly Virgin it took weeks to finalise we had to chase and when we finally paid the deposit it went up to £900 we queried with the agent why the change and was told due to Virgin flights. We took this as less to pay at balance.
When we tried to cancel suddenly the story change to the deposit being split between flights, Disney hotel and cruise none of this was mentioned at time of booking! It also took them 2 months to send the written confirmation.
Our issue is the agent lied but the operations manager failed to acknowledge this so we wrote to the CEO waste of space could not even be bothered to reply rude!
We cancelled and lost our money 2 reasons our family issue and we would never give this company any further money. They have a one response from the same person.
We holiday many times a year and I have never come across such a company lesson learnt never pay a high deposit.
NEVER use them should have read the other bad reviews if you need to cancel

Disney Magic! Just returned from an excellent Orlando holiday booked with Travelplanners

The lady knew loads about Disney and provided loads of recommendations, so glad I listened and stayed onsite. Well worth the extra money!

Cannot wait to book my next holiday back to Disney.

Based on my experience I would recommend and use Travelplanners again for my next holiday, everything was perfect.

Avoid this company!!!! Unprofessional and not helpful at all. We looked to book a family holiday to Florida in December 2022. Having received competitive quotes from various companies we decided to go with this company which was the biggest mistake. The person we have been dealing with is Adam Lewis. Having paid a deposit of £300, we then received a detailed confirmation 10 days later. The first mistake was that the accommodation quoted was not what the original price had been based on. When we questioned this with Adam we were told the accommodation was not available at the time of paying the deposit but not to worry as it would be next year. More concerning was that a paragraph had been added stating the for every night we were staying which was 14 nights there would be an additional charge of $50 per night to be paid direct to the complex management that run the location increasing the overall cost by $700. Adam initially stated this was not the case as his copy of the quotation on their system did not show this. He then went on to say that in fact he had stayed at the location previously and there was a cost but it was only be in the region of $20 - $25 per night so not to worry as it was not as much!. We pointed out that we should have been informed this at the time of being given the original price as we had been comparing prices from various companies. In all the time we have been dealing with Adam, we have had to chase him to return our telephone calls and chase him up for confirmation emails of what he had stated on the phone. We raised our concerns that we should have been informed originally of any additional costs, and that we were considering cancelling and requested a return of our deposit as we felt we had been miss sold the holiday. At this point we were sent another copy of the quotation but an additional paragraph had been added stating if there was any cancellation that we would be liable to pay the full deposit of £200 per person (£800) should we decide to cancel. Having contacted Adam again in October to discuss this, we had no response so emailed him twice again in October. Having not heard anything for nearly a month, I have contacted him again this week, and was told he had not received any emails. Copies were sent straight away and he promised to call be straight back to discuss. 2 days later, still no response despite me calling him and leaving messages. Totally unprofessional, don’t respond to calls or emails. Never ever use them! We have now had to refer this to ABTA.

Worst company I've ever booked a holiday with and I haven't even been on it yet. So quick to take your money and give you all the reassurances in the world about being protected, then afterwards end up moving your holiday around 10 times and we've lost out on over £600 and don't have the package we originally booked for our honeymoon. I should have listened to the reviews.

Never ever use TravelPlanners for holiday bookings! Due to personal circumstances, I have followed their cancellation procedure they sent me at time of booking which stated they will keep £200 deposit per person (I already paid £800 towards holiday so due £400 back) and they are flat out refusing. Apparently the terms and conditions they send you to confirm at time of booking your holiday and what's stated on your invoice is complete nonsense. They have a hidden clause on their website they will never pay back any monies paid regardless of circumstances or time scale so they completely contradict each other.

After raising it on Facebook to them also, they blocked me! They delete all comments on all their socials as I saw this had happened to loads more people but now all their comments have been removed from Instagram!

I have contacted watchdog and other fraudulent companies for their help so they stop stealing people's money, sending them bogus terms and conditions to agree too for them to just turn around and say "ha, we would never give you any money back". Their argument is that they have already paid deposit to Royal Caribbean International which even on their website would honour refund despite deposit based on time scale given so they are lying.

makes me so angry companies like this can carry on scamming people and they make themselves look perfect on the outside by deleting and blocking everyone!!! Absolute scam artists.

Be warned this company treat you okay until you pay your money but not when it all goes wrong then your on your own.

We booked with them to go to Vegas and then on to California this summer.
Bad mistake, they left us stranded at Vegas airport with no car hire and the emergency number you call gets you through to a person who basically states the opening hours in the UK and tells you to call back when they are open.
We had to pay for a taxi to get us to our hotel.
We lost two days car hire while they tried to sort out the mess they created by wrongly booking our car hire.

Then they did not pay our hotel bill in California and we had to pay it and then get the hotel to talk to Travel Planners to get it refunded back to us. We got brushed off by them when we spoke to them and given the same answer from the emergency help line as previouse.

We spent a good 3 days trying to sort it all out because THEY did not give a dam about us and were not helpful at all.
Every time we spoke to the customer complaints manager all she said was it was some body else to blame (a third party) not Travel Planers.
She did not seem to want to help us just pass on the blame.

They ruined our holiday and they did not have the common decency to even apologize to us.

If you book with them and you need them while on holiday good luck,.

We will not ever book with them i would rather not go.

Having moved our family 2020 holiday to 2021 due to covid and deeming it still not safe for us as a family with a disabled child to travel we asked for a credit note today. Last year when moved the booking we lost £50 of our deposit and today to be issued a credit note we lost a further £200 what an absolute joke of a flexible booking policy. Only forced to use this company after Thomas Cook collapse and its been a nightmare from start to finish. Very unlikely we we even use the credit note as I cannot bear the thought of dealing with this company any further. AVOID at all costs !!!

Thanks for your response yes our Dec holiday now should be allowed but it doesn't change our situation as explained briefly above and in many emails I'd love a holiday and if covid hadn't happened we'd have had our holiday last year when originally booked for but we have a high risk disabled child just because America is now allowing UK travellers doesn't mean its any safer to jump on a plane and go! And far less enjoyable getting tests and disney isn't what it was pre covid. Keeping peoples money in this situation is wrong in my opinion. Peak holiday time plenty of less vulnerable people willing to travel it will be booked several times over Disney won't lose out on a bookings but we lose our money through no fault of our own!
