A quiet and extremely comfortable stay. The large firm bed ensured a good night’s sleep . The location was excellent for us, on the edge of the city but close to a retail park and next door to the riverside farm restaurant. The car park is large and the hotel clean both in and out. The staff were particularly friendly and very keen to be helpful with a special mention for Sue and Helen. As we have needed to visit nearby several times over the last few months we have stayed a number of times and our stays have been consistent.

Helen & Gemma are the best, even so friendly and helpfull with everything at the reception. All the staff was super friendly. |The room was clean, but basic. No complaints, after all It is not a 5 star hotel. The staff makes you feel you are in a 5 star hotel through. There is a pub Next to the hotel, busstop nearby, enough parking in front of the hotel.

The location of hotel is great. Quite centre of the city and very close to main train station, less than 10 minutes by walk. Tram stop is just outside the hotel. Room was a bit small for a double room. Not much space to walk around. Room service was poor. I stayed for two nights and no topping up of tea or coffee bags.
Breakfast was great for both the morning.

This location is ideal for walking, public transport and parking the car until it's time to leave. Convenient for so many places of interest. A restaurant within walking distance. We enjoyed uninterrupted sleep throughout our 4 night stay. A definite recommend.

Super conveniently located (for me) people are lovely, rooms are Travelodgey as you'd expect. Basic but functional. Whole place could do with a spruce up. Magnetic door holder opener has been ripped from its mountings and is now being held by the fire alarm cable that releases it in the event of an activation.

As others have mentioned this is clearly quite an old Travelodge and somewhat basic compared to newer ones. The rooms could do with some TLC but they are pretty clean. Having said that the first room I was given smelt strongly of cigarettes because it hadn't been cleaned yet and was allocated to me by mistake, but reception were quick to apologise and give me another room which was fine. The staff are very helpful and pleasant in general. Overall it's good value for money considering how cheap it is without being great and I would stay here again.

Really well run, clean and quiet hotel in a convenient location made even better by there being a good pub restaurant next door. Plenty of parking and good access to the city centre, pleasant, friendly staff. A very good experience overall.

Staff brilliant!
Not cheap on a Saturday! £100+
But not the lights and noise when in the last bedroom closest to the restaurant, with flood lights from the industrial estate behind! I have a video of the noise.
Plus, crazy drunk couple arguing and Police being called, one of the worst nights sleep EVER.
First room had a leaking bath tap, and changed rooms to the last and worst room on the wing.
I can't go back.
Staff are lovely though.
