The room was comfortable. Not noisy. Good quality beds.Clean.
Very well situated for the Young V and A, Whitechapel Gallery and good independent bookshops. Close to transport links.
The menu is basic but the quality of food good. A range of vegetarian choices.
What really made our stay good was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Always cheerful, polite, with a ready joke and smile.
I noticed also how they responded to unforeseen problems in a swift and efficient way.
There was a recurring problem with a blocked sink.. fixed on the fourth attempt.
I would stay here again and recommend it as value for money and well situated.

Nice room. The bed was very comfortable and we slept extremely well. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially Michelle who went out of her way to be hospitable. The location was good with a tube station a very short distance away and easy access to central London. I would recommend this Travelodge to visitors to the city.

School holiday trip to explore London and the museums with our children. Bethnal Green travelodge was a great location and price as our base for exploring. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The staff were so friendly and helpful and our room was perfectly clean and set up for a family of 4. Michelle and the team were so lovely with our children at breakfast which was also brilliant value. Couldn’t recommend this place enough - we will definitely be back.

Standard Travelodge room and experience we’ve come to expect as far as rooms and facilities are concerned. The breakfast is excellent value if eating with kids. But the thing that made this stay at a Travelodge great was the staff - everyone was lovely. The chef even came out of the kitchen to tell my kids he’d restocked the buffet with fresh pancakes. Michelle at breakfast was really friendly and helpful, and gave us some great advice on places to visit in the local area.

The staff here honestly couldn't be better, super friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

However the amazing staff are let down by the hotel facilities. The third floor lobby stank terribly of raw sewage. Our bed was broken and we only had two pillows, one of which was old and lumpy. The shower pressure was pathetic, and the temperature only lukewarm at maximum. Also our window had been left open during the cold snap, so when we arrived the room was freezing!

Not to mention the horrendous Travelodge customer services! The phone number for Bethnal Green on my booking confirmation was a 13p a minute line that obviously went through to the national call centre. We called both numbers from three different phones over several hours, only to end up talking to the same person who didn't even let us finish explaining our issue before hanging up on us EVERY TIME!

Because of this we ended up paying for a dinner we couldn't attend, due to a change of schedule at the event we'd travelled to London to attend. The staff did their best to help us out when we finally arrived, but there was no easy way to cancel the prepaid meal either in person or online.

Overall the only good thing about this Travelodge were the amazing staff, and the convenient location.

Just a few minutes walk from Central line Bethnal Green station, passing a few pubs/takeaways/Sainsbury before turning right by a comedy club, up a small lane to access the entrance. Take the lift up to reception where Georgia and Michelle, gave us the run down on the hotel. The rooms are standard, but comfortable and relatively quiet considering there is a railway and busy road close by. Great value for London, would recommend.

Mali was very helpful. Nice clean room in a convenient location for my work. Would recommend and use again. Only issue is no parking due to it being on a high street, but if you’re a London traveller and commuting by public transport this won’t be an issue.

The staff was very welcoming, polite and always greeted me with a smile, especially Deonne, Will and Michelle. They ensure my stay was a pleasurable experience. The hotel was clean. I highly recommend and will visit again.
