The hotel was as it says on the box - clean, comfortable and well located. The staff were helpful and friendly and the service station facilities (Burger King and Greggs) helped. ||Would have expected the price (nearly £400 for 3 nights) to reflect the lack of facilities though. There was no daily housekeeping (just a top up service), no fridge, no shelves or cupboards for belongings - and no bar or restaurant. This made a stay of more than 24 hours difficult.

I can’t express how wonderful the staff were during my family’s stay. Reception was welcoming and helpful, but I want to give special thanks to Caroline, who went above and beyond on her night shift. Her kindness and dedication made such a difference to our visit, and I’ll be forever grateful.

Stopped for one night. Great location and handy for getting on and off the A1. Nicole on reception was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and fresh, and it appears they have renovated the rooms as the bathroom was new. There is a Burger King and Greggs attached to the hotel.

Walked into reception and was told that they had overbooked. This meant that we had no room for the two nights we had booked. We were moved to another hotel but weren’t able to drive to it with all our things as we had already drank alcohol and had a taxi booked for 5 minutes after they told us this. Other guests very kindly offered for us to stay in their room for the night. When trying to sort out the second night we were told that they assumed we were staying with these other guests for this night so our booking in the other hotel had been cancelled. We were then told to rebook for the second night online. We were able to book another room and check into this other room at 8am which implies that this other room was available the night before. This doesn’t make sense as we were told that were weren’t any room available the night before. We have been told that we will receive a refund which hasn’t happened as of yet. When checking out we asked for a confirmation email or any kind of written confirmation that we will receive a refund. Hotel staff said that we would get an email but that also hasn’t happened yet. At this point it’s our word against theirs despite none of this being our fault. The fault was that the hotel had overbooked and did not have a room for us when we arrived. The entire hotel also smelt awfully.

It's difficult to give anything more the 3/5. Not a complaint but, ya know, it's basic. But the price is fair for what you get.

No frills but clean and spacious with free parking and very welcoming staff who were very knowledge about the local area. Vending machine in lobby to provide snacks and drinks

I stopped here 1/4/20225 I work away from home During the week.
Stayed in many places.
The lady on reception who had the late shift was so friendly made me feel so welcome.
We chatted for ages.
She is a credit to your company.
For that warm welcome I will be returning.

This is a conveniently located travel lodge on the A1 near Grantham. The parking is excellent and the room was clam and appropriately prepared. i would use this travel lodge again and would recommend it for anyone wishing a break from a long journey from North to South or vice-versa. Woolsthorpe Manor just down the road (House of Isaac Newton) also worth a visit.
