An absolutely wonderful retreat. Superb teaching and a gorgeous location and Hotel. Brilliantly organised by Karen Simmonds whose attention to detail and care for everyone was second to none! Doon Mackichan was inspirational in leading our Creative Writing session and had helpful and nurturing tips for all. We also had a lot of laughs!!! A total tonic! Highly recommend!

I wanted a holiday to remember for when my kids finished GCSE and A-levels. The brief was to travel by train and for us to have some adventures built in.

Monika did an outstanding job! She recommend Slovenia and a trip with Intrepid to go cycling, hiking and rafting for 7 days. We got the train from London to Paris, spending the night in a hotel and taking in the pre-Olympic buzz. We then got a train to Munich where we stayed in the centre and had a wander round. Our final train was to Ljubljana. We had a day to ourselves and then we met the Intrepid group.

We were blessed with the best kinds of people of all ages and spent a wonderful week in the mountains and on the river. Staying in a lovely guest house.

Monika topped off this experience with 3 nights in Lake Bohinj, just 30 mins from Bled, in spa hotel.

Then we got our trains home, spending one more day and night in Munich.

I love slow travel, the hours of sitting reading and looking out the window. The kids enjoyed this too. For us, it's part of the holiday and experiencing the different countries.

I've never come back from a holiday so well rested and switched off. Thank you Monika for all the hours you spent making these memories for my family.

Thank you so much for arranging such a fantastic holiday! We all absolutely loved every minute and Sri Lanka is just such a wonderful place to visit - interesting culture, lovely warm and friendly people, fantastic food and nothing too much trouble for anyone! Perfect! All in all you made the most fabulous holiday for us, completely fulfilling all our requests and coming up with great suggestions too. Completely brilliant from start to finish!! Thank you.
