An excellent service! Nigel at Canterbury was incredibly patient with several changes we needed to make. We were always welcomed and any questions were answered clearly. Our first trip to America was a breeze thanks to Nigel's impeccable attention to detail. Everything was perfect! Highly recommended.

Booked a holiday in haste and found when we looked closely at our itinerary they allowed little time between flight transfers. Some "great" hotels turned out to be miles away from the airport and needed expensive transfers. When we tried to explain we felt uncomfortable about the agenda then a senior manager became involved in our case and we felt very pressured. In the end we lost our deposit to an uncaring and unsympathetic system.

Really strong sales department but once they have your money and you are on that holiday the good points end. 24 hour service was terrible and really rude. Put us in a high end hotel that was filled with insects and dirty and only advice from Trailfinders was "that's Bali" which from a travel company is a terrible thing to say to us about another country

Thankfully the Balinese people helped us immensely and actually moved us to a new hotel which was amazing so I'd highly recommend visiting their beautiful country but maybe not through Trailfinders

I will say that David at Canterbury was great and really helped us choose the locations.

Edit - phoned us off the back of this review to from what I gather take credit for the support the Balinese people gave us when we had issues and I am guessing change the review. I have taken a star off as this is terrible practice.

Couple of quotes from the 24 service

"Thank you for letting us know we will of course keep a record of the situation in Ubud village and will be in touch on your return" - other than strong arming to change the review this didn't happen

"I am not sure what help you are hoping for from the UK but I am of course happy to offer it if possible." - we were hoping for support than thankfully the Balinese people gave, not Trailfinders

"The setting of the hotel is one ensconced in the beauty of Bali's natural surroundings , to prevent nature from getting into the rooms is an impossible task." - Sure, one or two is normal but multiple bees, lizards and ants everywhere is not and the hotel staff were even shocked. We did a Jungle tour which was less intense than the 5 star hotel room in Ubud.
