Martin & Joan McEntee- owners of this company are amazing! They very promptly communicate with you all steps of the way and are very flexible. We did the 3 hour tour with Martin in April 2022 and I highly recommend it! We actually added an hour to grab something to eat (we were doing this shortly after landing in Boston and getting to our hotel) and also get some of Boston's' famous Italian pastries. We learned so much about Boston and surrounding areas- Martin was a wonderful tour guide, super fun and the time flew by. if you are going to Boston, this is the tour to do!

My family just had our private tour of Cambridge and Boston with Martin today. In a word, it was excellent. He was not dry or boring, in fact, most of his stories and history was refreshing. Our two sons loved his laid back approach, all while they learned some new things. In total, we spent almost 7 hours with Martin, but it seemed to fly by because of his easy going style. Overall, a great time was had by all and I would not hesitate to recommend Martin, or Joan, to anyone that wants a referral.

We took a full day tour that included a walk around Salem, MA and a trip up the coast. Martin was a wonderful guide and showed us many nice things about Salem that we didn't know (even though we've been to Salem many times before!).

Also, he knew just the place for our group to go to lunch and helped us get a table even though there was a line out the door.

We had a wonderful day and will definitely use him again for other trips around the city.

My family and I were delighted with the tour given by Trailblazer Tours Boston. I had contacted Trailblazer Tours via email requesting a tour for my husband and me, my parents, and my brother and sister-in-law the morning prior to boarding a cruise ship. Joan responded to me immediately and set up a 3 hour tour that accommodated all 6 of us comfortably in their van that would pick us up at our downtown hotel and then drop us off at the pier. Joan was very friendly and offered me advice on where to stay in Boston and was willing to customize the tour as we’d like. The day of our tour was rainy and gloomy but we had a wonderful time regardless. We did the Boston History tour and Martin was our tour guide and it was apparent that Martin loves this city and he loves educating people about its history. We were completely comfortable with his driving and appreciated the stop for coffee and pastries that were delicious and also an unscheduled stop that we requested at Mike’s Pastry. Martin's knowledge of Boston is very impressive and he did an excellent job providing information beyond a typical tour, often using his tablet to show us pictures of Boston from years ago. Martin was very personable and we enjoyed spending the morning with him. The tour ended up being the highlight of our trip, including the cruise. We cannot recommend Joan and Martin enough and we will definitely contact them for another tour when we are in Boston again.

We contacted Martin and Joan late afternoon and requested a customized private tour for the next morning. They gladly honored our request. In addition to the customized tour, we needed to be picked up and dropped off at two (2) different locations and at a specific time. Martin was very knowledgeable about Boston's history and its culture. He was an excellent tour guide. After stopping for hot chocolate by Harvard University and for a wonderful sandwich at Flour Bakery, Martin dropped us off with enough time for our daughter to change into her uniform for volleyball. We highly recommend Martin and Joan due to their customer service and professionalism.

Our biggest worry was how we were going to do a tour of Boston because my 85 year old sister-in-law wouldn’t be able to easily do the steps of a bus or walk much of a distance. Then I came across Trailblazer private tour company. Joan responded quickly to our email requesting a last minute tour. She asked if we had any special requests. Martin picked us up at our hotel and gave us a three hour tour of the Boston area. He was very knowledgeable on the past history of the city and was up to date on the current happenings. I especially liked their tour because we were in a minivan so we could go places that a tour bus couldn’t. The convenience was great! It was raining and that didn’t keep us from seeing the freedom trail or the other sites of this beautiful city. Thanks, Martin and Joan! I highly recommend!

We have used Martin and Joan at Trailblazer Tours on a number of occasions when visiting Boston with friends and family. They are both extremely knowledgeable and take every care to personalise the tour to your own individual interests. The tour of Boston on our recent trip was fantastic. Martin was able to provide our friends, who have never been to the city, a great insight to the history while including some new facts and sites for us who have had a number of visits as our daughter is at university there. Martin managed to include a great tip for the best clam chowder lunch! The trip to the Newport Mansions was also an amazing day out and worth the extra journey. The cars are large, very comfortable and immaculately clean. Would recommend without hesitation.
