Thank you so much to Chris and the whole of the team. We’ve been in our house for 12 years and the condition of the windows on the sides next to two roads had always bothered us.

While Chris and the team were on site, we managed to complete these and add some extra windows to the list at the back of our house while the team were on site (Chris had previously worked on one other and done an excellent job on it during late 2020). In total the team managed to repair, repaint and improve 21 windows and 4 door frames in less than three weeks (including the removal, repair and reinstalling 3 large sash windows).

We’ve already had so many lovely comments from friends and people passing about how smart our home now looks.

For the prices quoted, I can thoroughly recommend Chris and his team, they were on time everyday, quick, hard working, polite, fun and a pleasure to have with us. All the work was completed to the standard discussed and within less than the timescale committed to… we also struck lucky with the weather while they were with us, which was an added bonus.

Chris and the team were fantastic, with what was quite a tricky job in the end. 4 sash windows were turned from draughty single-glazed to smart double-glazed using the existing frames. They also straightened and renewed our 2 outside doors. Friendly, helpful and great communication, thoroughly recommend!

I first met Chris when he was restoring the windows on my neighbour's house. I was impressed with the care that he took to make sure that the work was done properly.

When we were subsequently looking to have the traditional wooden windows and doors restored on our house I invited tenders from a number of window restoration specialist.

I ultimately decided to give the contract to Chris not just because his quote was competitive but also because of the quality of work that I had seen him do on my neighbour's house.

Chris spent eight weeks fully restoring sixteen windows and six doors at my home during the summer. The windows were in serious need of attention. Many of the windows were badly weathered and rotten and most did not open properly. There were many challenges along the way, including renovating old parliament hinges on a number of windows, but by the end of eight weeks Chris had restored all of the windows and doors to something close to their former glory.

The standard of his work was very high throughout and he was always very keen to to ensure that we were happy with his work as the job progressed. He quickly resolved any snagging issues as soon as they were drawn to his attention.

It is never easy having contractors in your home, particularly when they are there for many weeks, but Chris made the experience as painless as possible by keeping mess to a minimum and always being considerate. He is in addition a nice guy who is easy to talk to and easy to deal with.

I have no hesitation in recommending him.

We had several people round to quote us for windows (UPVC and restoration) and I can honestly say Chris was the only one I liked and felt completely comfortable with as soon as he walked in. We had been let down several times by a Coventry based restoration firm and only found Chris when we saw his van locally. I really wish we had found him at the beginning.
All our dealings with him were great. From getting a prompt and clear quote, work being started as arranged and finished as expected. He even popped round before he started to show us window furniture and answer some more questions. For part of the works I happened to be out the country. I had no reservations about giving Chris a key and he was kind enough to send me regular pictures of the progress as it happened.
The windows look fab and I can highly recommend Chris. He is a great, honest guy who really seems to enjoy and take pride in his work.

Chris spent three weeks repairing and restoring all of the mock sash windows on our house. The quote he gave us was very competitive and, more importantly to me, he came across as a very professional and genuine person. We were away on holiday the first week Chris was working on our windows but he kept me updated of his progress via texts and emails which was extremely reassuring.

Unlike other tradesmen we have had working in the house, Chris was very tidy and considerate. I didn’t feel I had to tidy up after him at all, he did it all himself. He was very conscientious in his work, and clearly very knowledgeable with regards to his trade.

Home improvements can be a stressful thing to have to live through but Chris was an absolute pleasure to have working here and the standard of his work is very high. I would recommend Traditional Sash Services without hesitation.

Over the summer Chris repaired all the original sash windows in our house. His workmanship was excellent; meticulous preparation, provision of the best materials for the purpose and real craftsmanship in the fitting and finishing of each window. Here was someone who not only produced work of a very high standard but also clearly loved doing it. At the end of each day he cleared up thoroughly. Chris always explained things clearly and openly and was a delightful person to have working around the place.

We now have windows that run smoothly and are draughtproof too.
