Planned a trip for my sister and daughter in Isles of Skye with Csaba. He was personable, attentive and easy going. To say he was flexible is an understatement and made sure we were able to see and do everything we wanted. We felt at ease and like he was a part of our group instantly. He's professional, funny and knows a great deal about anything we asked. A million times over will book with him again on our next travels to Scotland.

Can't beat a private tour. First time booking with ToursByLocals.
Glad I found Matthew! Weeks before our arrival, we were back and forth selecting the best way to spend our day together for my family of 5 adults from Canada of Clan Cameron of Erracht heritage. Matthew was knowledgeable, funny and accommodating!! Shortly after meeting us, we had an excellent banter. We all laughed a lot. Despite a mix of sun and quite miserable wind, rain and hail, Matthew made our day touring the Inverness area perfect!!

Neil gave us a wonderful tour. After meeting the 7 of us at our cruise ship dressed in tweed we very comfortably made our way around Inverness. His special attention to what we wanted to see gave us all a great tour. Neil is really knowledgeable about the area and even made a side stop so we could check out some Highland Coos up close and personal. We will always remember Neil and the standing stones, Culloden, and our wee glimpse of Nessie as promised. You will not regret doing a tour with Neil.

If you want a tour guide who's extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, fun and looks good in a kilt - Ally is your man. An easy going gentleman with a great sense of humor. With years of experience, he'll show you how to beat the crowds and see all the great spots. Plus, his car is spotless and downright luxurious. The only downside was saying goodbye. Thank you, Ally!

David is a wonderful guide and promoter for beautiful Scotland. Even on a cloudy rainy day, his joy, humor, knowledge, and friendliness made the memorable day seem "sunny and bright!" David really listened to us, and made sure the tour was unique for us, and met our specific needs. (Not another "same old same old" tour. No way. ) He made sure we saw the ancestral homelands of both our Clan families, plus learn about the wonderful history and sights of Ayrshire, Loch Lomond, and the Stirling Castle region. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND David, and look forward to meeting with him again in our future trips to unforgettable Scotland. Cheers to David! Lara was quite a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide on all the stops along our tour route. She gave great background information about the scenery, history, archeology, geology, and wildlife we saw during our time with her. I highly recommend this tour to any visitor to Shetland who wants to learn more about life on these islands from a historical perspective up to the present. Lara really maximizes the time spent with her. The tour is a very good value.

Irene was an exceptional guide. The 3 hour historical overview of Edinburgh was fantastic. She educated my wife and I on the highlights of the town and catered the walking tour to accommodate our desires. We had lots of questions and she seemed to have all the answers. I would highly recommend this tour for visitors trying to learn as much as possible in a short duration. It was a perfect tour to kick off our visit to a new city. Thank you again Irene!!

Touring with Stuart was comfortable in all ways, like driving the roads of Skye with a good friend who knows the history and culture of the Isle and takes tremendous pride in his heritage. He showed us parts of the countryside we would not have found on our own and introduced us to the small, magical instances of nature that only a native would know. He designed our tour so that we could meet a colleague for lunch and still have a full experience of the island. A first-rate tour!
