We had a fantastic Best of Cornwall five-day tour. Our guide, Justin, who works with Tim Uff, did an incredible job — navigating these challenging roads, providing lots of historical and current information about Cornwall, and showing us amazing sights. He tweaked the tour to suit our interests. We were able to meet up with a distant relative and visit our ancestors’ hometown. Arranging the tour with Tim went smoothly, too. At his advice, we booked a few nights in north Cornwall and a few in the south, so we stayed close to the places we visited. Can’t imagine a better way to see Cornwall.

I've been around Cornwall with Tim twice now. Once with my 68 year old dad and once by myself. Both times have been incredible. Tim's one of the nicest and charming people I know. He's taken us all around Cornwall, showing us hidden gems, from bronze age ruins to world-class hikes. My dad had a prosthetic leg, and while he couldn't walk very well, this didn't inhibit the tour in anyway. Tim was flexible in activities and time schedule. If we wanted to stop in a pub for a drink, he was happy to show us some of the olds greats laying around.

At this point, I don't think I could come to Cornwall without hiring Tim again. Class acts all around, and they make the trip a pleasure every time.

As senior citizens with no business at all driving the narrow byways of Cornwall, we were delighted to have the opportunity to spend three days with TourCornwall-- two with Tim and one with Jason.All three days are etched into our travel memories as being extraordinary. The single best quality Tim brings to the game is his love of Cornwall. Next is his knowledge on such a broad range of subjects. With TourCornwall, we saw everything one wants and expects to see but also had the chance to get off the beaten path and see Cornwall through the eyes of someone who knows and loves it. There was not a single boring moment and there were moments of absolute HILARITY. We NEVER talk about Cornwall without recalling our happy days with the best guide/companion anyone could ask for. Just superb!

We had booked a Doc Martin and North coast tour and had the pleasure of having Steve as our tour guide. He has a vast amount of knowledge and a great sense of humour, he managed to make it such a special experience for us with all the stories and history of each place we visited. I definitely recommend going on a tour, we look forward to booking a few more when we return.

We had 2 days of private tours- one of West Cornwall and the other of North Cornwall. Steve was very knowledgeable about the area, and we thoroughly enjoyed the tours.

My wife and I just returned from a wonderful day tour of North Cornwall with Pat. Pat was absolutely terrific! We told him no old churches or museums. We wanted to see the scenic beauty of North Cornwall. And WOW did he deliver. We went to Newquay and Fistral Beach, Bedruthan Steps, Tintagel Padstow, Port Quin, Port Issac (all of the Doc Martin sites including the castle where Doc proposed to Louisa), Boscastle, and more. Pat tailored the trip to our needs and had great information about each site. He is also a pleasant and engaging person with a lot of knowledge about Cornwall. Finally he is also a great- and careful driver. We figured he drove 200 miles that day. And we also figured that it would have taken us 5 days to see the same sites. Highly recommend Tour Cornwall, Tim Uff and Pat!

Our family of four spent two days with Steve. He is very passionate about his homeland, took us to some typical spots but also went out of his way to show us the hidden gems that most people don’t see. He was very flexible to accommodate our interests and spent time with us even after the tour. We highly recommend Steve and Tour Cornwall. Hope to visit again.

It is a pleasure to write a review of Tour Cornwall.

I contacted Tim who suggested a one-week itinerary including pick up and drop off in the Bristol area. Communications with Tim were quick and easy.

Once we saw the narrow Cornish roads and the high hedges with walls a few thousand years old in the middle, we were so glad to leave the driving to the experts—especially on the left-hand side of the road! Tim suggested we base ourselves in Newquay for four days and St. Ives for two nights and gave us the name of some suggested hotels. We opted for Air B n Bs instead and this was fine too. While Newquay made sense as a base for visiting northern Cornwall, we weren’t enamored with it and if we had to do this trip again, we would opt to be based in Falmouth instead of Newquay –even if this means a bit longer driving on some days.

A few days before our tour started Tim advised that he had subcontracted Steve to guide us. Steve proved to be an extraordinary guide and human being. He is a voracious reader and has an encyclopedic knowledge of Cornish history. As a Cornish native Steve is also very proud of his culture and imparts his enthusiasm to his visitors. Steve has worked as a fisherman, bus driver, and salesman; runs a cheese business that takes him all over England; has learned to sail on tall ships; is a lifeboat volunteer; has been a Stonehenge archaeological dig volunteer and singer of Cornish ballads. He therefore brings a unique life perspective to his guiding and has interesting firsthand insights to share. Whether your interest is in books written in Cornwall or films or TV series set in Cornwall; tin, copper, or China clay mining; shipwrecks and smuggling or visiting some of Cornwall’s beautiful gardens and scenic walks, Steve will make sure to give you a thorough and unique visit.

Steve is a fantastic driver and very punctual and reliable.

We were a family of two adults and a 14-year-old teen and Steve was very good about adapting our itinerary to our interests and suggesting lunch spots that we liked.

We are just back from our Cornwall trip and looking at our photos and marvel at the variety and beauty of what Steve showed us. We miss him already after spending an incredible week with him.
