I Recently used Thrifty Kings Lynn to hire a van while moving. The lady on reception (who's name i unfortunately didnt catch) was wonderful. Excellent customer service on pickup and drop off. I will definitely be using them again next time i need to hire a van or car.

I've been using this office for work car hire for the past five years. Brilliant experience every time, the whole team are great from the lady on the phone to the gents dropping the car off/picking it up. Probably used them about 50 times in that period, never been let down.

Who would have thought renting a car could be so much fun! From start to finish they were both helpful and treated me like a human being unlike other car rental sites (I will name and shame for a small fee!). If you're a nice person and want to be treated like a valuable customer, do yourself a favour and book a car with Laura and Iain. If you work for the RAF, start behaving yourself with rental cars....you never know who's watching! Lastly, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again but I'm convinced it's actually Harry Hill who answers the phone, sounds exactly like the comedian.....weird though, I thought he was doing alright for himself!! ?

Brilliant from start to finish
The whole process was seamless the guys dropped the car off in a very professional manor on the arranged day and time it was immaculately clean had a full tank of fuel it was collected in the same timely professional manor.
When I first contacted the branch due to a few questions the insurance company couldn't answer regarding the hire car I spoke to Ian who was very knowledeable and helpful about the process and mananged to answer all my questions.
The length of the hire was changed due to the repair garage I rang and spoke to a young lady who was polite and helpfull and nothing seemed a problem
Thrifty is now my first point of call if I ever need to hire a car or van

I know it seems strange to review a vehicle hire chain, but I've now rented vans from here three times (for two house moves and a DIY wedding, so quite stressful!), and they've been the best-priced in the area, have a good selection of modern, powerful, spacious vans, and they're always very friendly, as well as being very accommodating when I've asked to change vehicle (last-minute) and extend by a day (on the last day of my rental).
Being part of a nationwide chain you expect the same, cold service and "head office says no" mentality, so I thought the least they deserved was a little positive praise for their more flexible and 'local' service.

An angry man who worked there was most upset by my polite observation he didn't wear a mask to drive a car to the cleaning bay. Fine, they have their process but I just needed assurance they were covid rules compliant. He challenged me while i was sitting waiting in my car, went on and on about how everything was safe. Eventually I just shut my car door and he hit it on the window, hard. No rudeness, no swear words, nothing provoked it. Beware of this man, he is apparently the manager. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere and didn't end up renting from them.

We had a negative experience with the Kings Lynn Thrifty. They charged us for minuscule scratches to a rear alloy that we didn't make. Car was inspected on return, with no damage being pointed out. Then they later sent us an email with over-enlarged photos of minuscule scratches. This was after their own staff person drove us back to the train station in the car we rented. Then they topped up the car with petrol, and charged us for that as well!

Rented a car for a week through German broker site billiger-Mietwagen.de from Thrifty. Apart from difficult to reach the station I liked the perfect service and friendly and trustworthy staff. No games, no cheats, just professional car rental business unlike almost all other rental services I used in countries like Italy and Greece. The car was brand new equipped with loads of extras and strong engine. Pure fun, I'll come back here if the place still exists in the future.
