Glamping fantastic! Stayed in the Escape Pods for the weekend and it was great. The large hall and outdoor kitchen made cooking and eating very easy. The cooker is commercial grade so was able to cook a lot in one go. With the facilities, toilets and showers, just a short walk away, both kept clean over the weekend. The woods are great for exploring and a firepit at night added to the enjoyment. The pods were so warm overnight, with an electric heater if needed, but it wasn't, all very comfortable. There are coat hooks and shoe boxes outside in the porch area to keep the pod clean and dry. You're away from it all, so quiet, almost back to nature.

I went there with my son for the weekend with the Tourettes association.

The woodlands staff put in a number of different activities for us all to participate in, including kayaking, canoeing, zipline, Wall climbing and tree tops to name a few.

The cabin we stayed in was nice. Back to basics... only beds in there. Short walk to the toilets and showers.

Really enjoyed our time here and will look at coming back again in the future.

Just returned from a three day residential with a year 6 class and I can’t believe how lucky we were to get to spend it at Thorpe Woodlands. It’s the most beautiful setting to be in and all of the activities are brilliant fun. The instructors clearly love what they do and are so positive and enthusiastic about making the most of the experience for everyone. Their energy radiates onto everyone taking part. The accommodation is comfortable and feels really homely and all the food is homemade by a wonderful team.
I would highly recommend this centre to anyone!

Just returned from a school 3 day residential. Wow, what a great place. Alex and his team made it such a great experience for us all. The instructors were fun, supportive and encouraging with every child. Such a happy, energetic team! The facilities were amazing and everything just ran smoothly. We had such a great time and I can't wait to come back again!

We booked an activity day to celebrate a 30th birthday there were 7 of us, ages 58, 52 31,30,26, 26 and 22, Naomi looked after us for the day and she was fantastic, we did zip wire, archery and raft building. We were going to do treetops bit unfortunately the eldest of us was a little large around the middle and was told he couldnt do that so we swappped things around, really recommend and would love to do this again.

Disheartening Experience at Thorpe Woodlands Adventure centre.

We had high hopes for Thorpe Woodlands Adventure Centre, given its reputation for providing engaging and safe activities for children. Unfortunately, our recent experience has left us deeply disheartened.

My children recently attended the centre and initially had a wonderful time. The variety of activities and the natural surroundings seemed perfect for a fun and adventurous outing. However, things took a deeply concerning turn during one of the activities.

One of the activity leaders inexplicably decided to push my child into a deep body of water. This particular child is not a strong swimmer and struggles with going underwater, making the situation even more distressing. Moreover, my child didn't even have time to take a breath before being pushed in, heightening the danger and fear in what should have been a safe environment. To add to our dismay, my child is also recently bereaved, a fact that makes this incident all the more upsetting.

What is baffling is why the leader thought it was appropriate to single out my child in such a manner, especially when none of the other children were pushed into the water. The quick and simple apology offered by this leader is far from satisfactory, and the lack of assistance provided to help my child out of the water is inexcusable.

I am left wondering about the training and judgment of the staff at Thorpe Woodlands. This incident has overshadowed any positive experiences my children may have had and has left us all feeling very disappointed and upset.

I am asking for a full and thorough explanation from the centre manager regarding this unacceptable behavior. The safety and well-being of children should always be a top priority, and in this case, Thorpe Woodlands Adventure Centre has fallen severely short.

I hope that the centre takes immediate steps to address this issue and ensures that such incidents do not occur in the future.

We book the Thorpe Woodlands Centre every year as our annual family getaway. We are a large group of 30. The staff are incredibly wonderful. Very helpful and friendly.
Special thanks to Tim who is extremely nice always during our stay.
Our activities instructor Polly was brilliant!

The Thorpe Woodlands adventure is fun and it was safe to enjoy there but the only thing Is that kids under 16 are not allowed due to safety other than that it was enjoyable and the trainer was showing how to do the task
