I represent Sheffield Supertram as their 'Third Party Planner & Contractor Co-ordinator' who brought in Thompson Tree Services to alleviate the overgrown and safety related issue of Birley Golf Club, Birley Lane.
The remit of works to clear the offending arboreal encroachment was passed to Dave Robinson Operations Director who had the area immediately surveyed and quoted for the work, as in photo one.
The team brought in men and machinery (Photo two) to ensure all work was completed on time and to the set price on budget.
The work was controlled and co-ordinated safely at every aspect of the task at hand, having worked alongside their team on prior occasions, we here at Supertram had no problem in the work being unsupervised at any stage.
On site we discussed the work and at certain stages took stock of the job and never had a problem with the Thompson team as communication was always top of the list.
The work was completed (Photo three) with aplomb and to the most safety stringent and exacting of any contractor we have work under our Supertram banner.
Many thanks, we will be using Thompson Tree Services in the near future.

After finding these guys on Google, I called them for some advice. I'd spotted a fungus growing on some trees around the garden, and was worried it might be a disease. Jodie in the office, asked me to take pictures and she promised to send them to Dave who would call me back. True to their word, Dave called me next day with the good news that it was a harmless lychen. He was so lovely and forthcoming with helpful info - and he really put my mind at rest. I have a lot of work to do in the garden over the coming months - so I won't hesitate in using them properly for paid services when the time comes. In a world where businesses constantly fail to call back or reply to messages, this was refreshingly superb service - thank you! x

I was not impressed with the workmen who came to cut trees back in my garden: they left branches all over next doors garden; broke branches off my bushes and uprooted plants, and nearly destroyed a longstanding bush near the house despite repeated requests to be careful. I'll give 'em one star each for turning up on time.
