Not happy to give 1 star even. Disappointing service. Visited on 2 days as per the website opening & closing timing. 1st day was a Thursday and the post office was closed for lunch until 14:00 which was not mentioned in the website. And aper the website, post office should be open till 12:30 on Saturdays, but it was closed as per the hand written notice and the staff of the Tesco also confirmed. We book appointments online and visit to collect our parcel arranging our time but such a waste of time, money. Very disappointing service.

If I could give 0 stars I would. To continue the negative reviews already here.
My Mum had a parcel delivered to this branch and when she went to collect it she was told it wasn’t there. They sent her to Epping as she was told the parcel was there instead despite the tracking information proving it was delivered to Theydon Bois. Having gone back multiple times to try and pick up her parcel she was shouted at “you’ve been here 3 times and we have told you it isn’t here”.
After the weekend now she went back again and after speaking to Royal Mail confirming it was there and had been for 4 days.
On the final visit a pleasant young lady found the parcel very quickly on the backshelf, which had been there all along. We have taken this up with Royal Mail directly. Appalling service.

Looked on website said was open took 15mins walk with heavy item to post and at 14.10pm
Had sign up saying closed.
This isn't the 1st time lately this has happened.

Disappointing service. Counter is closed at peak times of the day such as lunchtime, and the main member of staff is often on her phone so not giving proper help or attention, or is just surly and rude. If you can get to another branch easily, do it.

If I could give zero stars I would. Post office have lost my DBS check for charity work. Posted 6/9 and hasn't arrived as of 22/9. Went in today to ask where it was, was served by the rudest lady, appalling attitude, her actual words were 'If it's lost, then it's lost'. I am lost for words. If you have anything of remote importance, don't post it here. They literally couldn't care less. And they're not shy about making that extremely obvious.

It's a shame I cannot give rate zero.
I completely agree that the new lady is very rude. Very hostile!

A certain member of staff acts like they are doing you a favour when serving you. As the other review stated I have found the Post Office to be shut early than it’s advertised closing time, and for lunch etc ( the counter is meant to be open all day)when I also made a special trip to post items for my business. Now I would rather use the Post Office counter located in McColls in Epping as the staff are professional, friendly and the Post Office is open to seven days a week 10 O’clock at night, and all day Saturday and Sunday.

The new lady at the Post Office is so rude, I won’t be visiting again. What a shame as this used to be a lovely friendly Post Office. Unlike all other shops in the village. She shouldn’t be working in retail as she clearly doesn’t like her job and is full of self importance!
