Had an absolutely amazing visit. Jacky, the lady who done the tour was amazing. It's clear her daughter and team care greatly for every donkey they have. It was hands-on and very informative. The charity shop and gift shop are lovely and all proceeds go towards the sanctuary. Would absolutely recommend a visit and a tour, especially because the donkeys love a cuddle🥹

Well organized place, from the gravel car park to the layout of the Donkey Visitor's Centre itself.
You get to stand in the enclosures with some of the donkeys and get a chance to be 'up-close' and stroke them freely (they enjoy it).
It's clear from the beginning that these animals, although they may have suffered abuse and neglect in the past, they are very much loved and cared for now. Everywhere looks clean and without the usual strong smell of stables that you often get.
There's always someone on-hand to clean up any time the Donkeys decide to poop.
A short layout for people to walk around. Plenty to keep you interested. But clearly lots of open land for the Donkeys to exercise, run, and play.
Cafe on site sells good quality snacks, at a fair price too.
I felt I had to make a donation. That was my choice. So hope the £200 helped, even just a little bit...

Nice friendly people looking after several donkeys 🫏 that haven't had the easiest of lives, some goats, and a pony. It has a café with hand-wash and toilet facilities. 5 hygiene rating and sells really nice cake. They do tours around the different areas that are informative and free. Not really set up for very young children. It has disabled access. Payments can be made by cash or card.

First visit today and we will be back. A very informative tour, showing great knowledge of all the donkeys. Sobering to hear some of the heart-breaking back stories, which made being able to support such vital work more rewarding. Donkeys were very well cared for and own personalities respected. Lovely to be able to interact with them too. Topped off with good coffee and cake at the onsite cafe. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic place to visit, walking amongst the donkeys was amazing, such gentle little souls. The story of the Sanctuary was really interesting on the tour. We enjoyed it so much we decided to sponsor a donkey called Colin.

Brilliant place. We went along in time for one of the two daily tours, and as part of that we got to learn about the awful lives some of the donkeys have endured before being rescued - some of the stories are really upsetting, but that's the reality of these animals lives and just highlights how important places like Wonky Donkey are. During the tour, we got taken into the fields to meet the donkeys up close, which was such a lovely experience - they're so friendly and affectionate. There's a great little cafe on site, and plenty of parking. All the staff were wonderful and keen to tell us about their work - will definitely be back

We had such a wonderful time here! The donkeys are so well cared for and are so sweet. The staff and volunteers are incredibly lovely, knowledgeable and caring and the tour was amazing! Honestly such an eye opening experience and we had a blast!!

We visited on Saturday for the 10 year anniversary, my little boy is a little weary of animals but he really took to the donkeys, we had a lovely relaxed day. A lovely welcoming atmosphere and I was so surprised how confident he was and so content around them 🫏 we will be back 💕
