It was a very busy evening so service was a little hit and miss but fortunately we were in no hurry. Staff were friendly but we felt that more were needed in the conservatory. The venison was delicious, as was the rice pudding. The steak sharing dish wasn't good value, as it was much smaller than expected, especially when you see what is offered with Fallow & Fire. Our guests had come a long way to meet up with us so we had hoped for a 'perfect' evening. Better luck next time maybe!

We found this by chance as we were going to be in the area for 2 days.
We booked a room & a table in the restaurant.
The bedroom area was just perfect, very clean & tidy, with a range of tea & coffee making facilities. The bathroom was the same with a range of toiletries, which is always handy.
After showering & changing we made our way to the dining room, which had a lovely homely feel. We had already viewed the menu on line so we knew what we wanted, the “Fallow & Fire” for 2 which was a bit different from the norm. We weren’t disappointed with the food it was fabulous. We even decided to have a pudding.
A very comfy large bed & warm room.
Breakfast the next morning was just perfect, opted for the Eggs Benedict which was delicious.
All in all an excellent place to stay & would definitely recommend the Westleton Crown.

We had a terrible meal here. It's definitely not a destination foodie pub and there are much better options for food in the area.

Our food was undercooked. When we informed the waiter, he picked up a piece of food from my plate and broke it in half in front of us. We couldn't believe our eyes. Sauces as accompaniment were also poor, almost tasted mouldy.
Waiter picked up the peppercorn sauce jug, smelled it and said 'you can't go too wrong with a peppercorn sauce'. I beg to differ.

Our sides (incl undercooked food and another underwhelming side that was pushed on us at ordering stage) were taken off our bill but £28 for a rump steak that was overdone, underdone / raw chips, a terrible salad and a funky-smelling peppercorn sauce is, in my opinion, pretty poor.

Wine list is overpriced for what it is too.

If you're looking for tasty, well-cooked food that is good value for money, I would avoid this place at all costs.

Pre booked Sunday lunch a couple or so of weeks ago for 4 of us. Impressed by the serving team, the three young women were all 3welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food choice - we opted for roasts but there were other options - was good and came well presented and cooked. Nice general buzz about the dining area without being noisy. Families and couples of all ages. I think the bar area was dog friendly although we didn't have one with us. A pleasant experience. Would happily return. Spent about £35 per head for couple of courses and drinks.

From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They took the time to show me everything I needed to know and even walked me to my room, which was a lovely touch.||The room itself was amazing—cozy, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully presented. It had everything I needed, including free Wi-Fi, which was a lifesaver in an area with limited phone reception.||One standout for me was breakfast. I often miss breakfast when staying at hotels for work because it’s served too late, but not here. They start early, and everything about it was perfect! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was so inviting, and the staff were as warm and friendly as ever.||Every single member of staff I encountered had a smile on their face, and their positive energy truly made my stay. The Westleton Crown is a fantastic place to stay, and I’ll definitely be returning.||Five stars, without a doubt!

Nothing was too much trouble, both us and our dog felt thoroughly pampered throughout both nights of our stay. The valentines menu was exceptional and Saturdays evening meal was delicious. Breakfasts were perfect and we will be back

We just had a two night stay at the Westleton Crown, FANTASTIC. Room, food, beer & the team were all fantastic.
Last year we stayed at the Globe at Wells & were so disappointed. The Crown have pulled it back round fir the Chestnut group. We will be staying again. Thank you

Food was fantastic. My friend and I both had the pork loin and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yummy pudding too.
The staff were very friendly and food served quickly. A shout out to our lovely waitress Vanessa. She remembered us from our previous visit a couple of months previously. So friendly and couldn't have done more for us. Would definitely recommend a visit, and we will be retuning.
