My stay at Foxt Cottages was nothing short of spectacular! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with rolling hills and lush greenery providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing escape. The private swimming lake was a highlight, offering serene views and a refreshing dip right at our doorstep. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, making it easy to unwind. For our little one, the activities were a hit—plenty of outdoor fun to keep them entertained while we soaked in the peaceful vibe. The hosts were warm and attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect. If you’re looking for a tranquil retreat with stunning landscapes and family-friendly amenities, Foxt Cottages is a must-visit! We’re already planning our next stay.

I realy relaxed in thise house.
Was clean everywhere. We were happy to having internet and netflix.
In the house are a lot of dishes, enough for all family. Was washing machine and clothes dryer, radiators on each room,bathroom,
kitchen.I liked the house is situated on quiet area, is a lake not to far. 14 min fron Alton Towers Waterpark.

We loved this place!
Unfortunately my husband had hurt his back so our planned long walks were cancelled. There were still plenty of things to entertain the grandchildren. The park, alpacas, Oscar and walks just outside of the cottage.
The cottage was very well located, with beautiful views and only a short drive to shops, tearooms and those amazing rambles that we missed out on. It was clean, beautifully warm, comfortable and had all of the accessories that we needed.
Our host met us briefly and was lovely.
We can highly recommend a stay!

We booked here for a last minute getaway and couldn't of asked for more. The area is outstanding, such beautiful views and to be able to access all of the free outside amenities within the grounds was fantastic. The cottage was immaculate and felt like a home from home as it had everything provided. The onsite team were great... very informative and friendly, no questions were too much. We were disappointed that we didn't book for a longer stay and will definitely come back again.

What a fabulous place to stay. The owners were very helpful and we're there to help us out. The place is tranquil and so relaxing. The accomadation is very clean and everything we needed was catererd for . We will definitely be returning xxx

Great customer service!! From start to finish we had excellent communication throughout our trip.

We stayed in room 4 for three nights to celebrate my birthday. The cottage was incredibly cute, with a generously sized bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The place was spotlessly clean. We were delighted with the number of extras provided in the cupboards, including oil, seasonings, and various cooking utensils. The house had a great selection of games and books to keep us entertained.

The garden out the back was a lovely bonus. However, if you have small dogs, be mindful of the garden fences, as they are quite gappy and could easily escape into the neighbouring garden or even the river that flows nearby.

There are some lovely walks to be had in the area. There’s a lovely pub nearby, up the hill, that we enjoyed visiting.

Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely come again!

Two kayaks to use in the lake
Great for bird watching and walking
Plenty of seating

All that you need
Spacious
Very clean
And very comfortable
No nighttime noise whatsoever
Hettys tea room opposite , oh you must try one of her scones 😋
Local shop about 1 mile away at ipstones
But for more shops (supermarkets) etc a short drive to Cheadle
A wildlife / falconry place 5 mins
And about 20 mins to the peak district 🐶🐕
The swans on the lake are so friendly you can hand feed them , with appropriate food tho 🫣
I have stayed in numerous locations and have not stayed anywhere twice but I would jump at the chance to stay here again 🙏
I stayed for four nights

My family and I recently stayed in the property as we were visiting Alton Towers. It is in a great location and was perfect for our stay. We were super comfortable and the house is situated in a lovely little village. Overall it was an amazing stay and we would highly recommend for other families.
