For me being at Talland was like being at Disneyland. I had the most enjoyable 2 day adult camp last week and couldn’t stop smiling.

There is a real family atmosphere, every one is friendly and helpful right from the instructors through to the students. In particular Pammy was really welcoming and I found it awe inspiring just watching her ride.

The beauty of talland is that they are more than happy for you to sit and watch lessons going on. I gained so much from watching a variety of riders from: students, a para rider, clients of varying levels, exams and right up to watching Pipa and Pammy practice their dressage tests.

The horses are all so well schooled and a pleasure to ride. I really wish I could have sneaked Rembie home with me, what a kind hearted super star pony he is!

All my instructors were fantastic at fine tuning my strengths and fixing my weaknesses. In particular Adam really boosted my confidence in the saddle with his positive and motivational teaching style. Throughout our lesson he was right there beside me giving me his undivided attention, explaining not just what to do by why. His knowledge shines though and has allowed me to really understand the reasons behind why we give certain aids at different times so that I can take this knowledge home to keep on implementing and improving.

Also as part of my camp I had a lecture from Annie about feeding and horse first aid. Her knowledge and passion for horse care really shone through and I gained so much from it.

I can’t recommend Talland more for someone like me who maybe hasn’t got their own horse yet but wants to push themselves further. I most definitely will be back when I return from a 2 year hiatus in Kenya where hopefully I can keep up my love of riding and dressage.

I honestly don’t even know where to start, Talland is just amazing. I had the best week ever training there. The atmosphere is so welcoming, and everyone is so kind and supportive. You can really feel how much the people there love what they do, and it makes such a difference.

The lessons were incredible. The instructors explain everything so clearly and are really encouraging, no matter your level. You get to ride some seriously talented horses who teach you so much, it’s such a cool experience. The standard is super high, but they push you in the best way and make you feel confident and capable.

The facilities are beautiful and so well-kept, but it’s the people and the horses that make Talland so special. I learned so much in just a few days, and I left feeling motivated, happy, and already wanting to go back.

If you love horses and want to learn from the best in a really supportive, professional environment, I can’t recommend Talland enough. Genuinely one of the best riding experiences I’ve ever had!

I have been riding at Talland for 2 months now and I am really enjoying it! Everyone is so friendly, and my instructor Adam has been incredibly patient and encouraging with my lack of confidence while getting back into riding. So different to a classic ‘riding school’. I have had the opportunity to ride some lovely horses and learned a lot in a short space of time

Lovely yard & team ☺️

A big thank you to Pammy for my flat lessons .
And huge thank you to Brian for the showjumping.
With Your unbelievable knowledge and expertise, and ability to explain .. yet keep things very simple… proved massively beneficial to me and my horse.
There is a very genuine desire to help people improve , providing a very warm welcome in a very relaxed down to earth environment.

Just spent 2 days at Talland and what a friendly and well run establishment it is. I had the privilege of riding an elite horse (a real bucket list moment) Pippa gave me some great training tips and I got to ride movements I’ve mostly dreamt of but rarely ridden! Everybody had time to chat and I watched some jumping and dressage lessons and some RDA lessons (this was great as I am a newly qualified RDA coach). It’s been an ambition to visit Talland since I was a kid and finally made it at 55.

We travelled down from Scotland last week for another fabulous couple days of riding instruction at Talland! Our aim was to improve our riding skills but we had lots of fun too! The horses were lovely, the tuition was excellent from Advanced Schoolmaster lessons to Side Saddle to lunge lessons. All very professionally delivered on gorgeous horses.
We learnt lots and we can't wait to come back!
With many thanks to all our coaches: Pippa, Adam, Rupert, Emma and Natalie xxx

What an amazing place for any equestrian to be! We couldn’t recommend it more. In June, my 15 year old daughter was lucky enough to spend 4 incredible days here. Over the 4 days she had lessons with Pammy, Pippa, Charlie, Tom, Raffi and Britt, covering dressage, SJ and XC; some on our horse and 2 on Talland’s School Masters. What a fantastic experience it was. This place doesn’t just offer the highest quality lessons and horsemanship, but they do this within an incredible family atmosphere. Pammy and Pippa clearly knew and cared for all of the horses and people there, and this caring theme ran throughout the place. In between lessons we got chatting to a wide range of riders, visitors, instructors (including Pammy, Pippa and Hilary, who freely impart their knowledge) and people were encouraged to watch lessons from the sidelines, which was educational too. All of the staff team we met during our stay were friendly and supportive. Talland is in a beautiful part of the country and their facilities are fabulous and horses cared for and happy.
When Isabella nervously arrived on the first day, Emma (office manager,) and Claire (yard manager), both settled us in ensuring that our horse’s needs were fully met. To top it off, the catering was home cooked, delicious and offered a wide variety to choose from. We’re so thankful to the whole Talland Team for creating such an inviting environment making our experience so special. We can’t wait to go back! If you get the opportunity you should certainly go along and experience this amazing equestrian centre for yourself!
