Fantastic stay at the salty dog. Me and my family visited the house over a weekend. We arrived and felt instantly comfortable and relaxed. The place is very clean and well kept. The furnishings and the decor are done perfectly to make it feel homely. The kitchen and dining area are wonderful, an excellent space for hosting a dinner parting. Sunday afternoon we made the short walk to the beach and had a lovely stroll along the shore. Really felt like a home from home. Had such a lovely time and we will be visiting again.

This was our second visit with Let’s Unwind, this time to the Salty Dog having previously stayed at the Rock Lobster. We again had a fantastic trip, the house was well equipped and very clean, with a lovely garden and located less than 10 mins walk from beautiful Camber Sands beach. The house was dog friendly and spacious for a family visit with 6 adults and a baby. We would certainly recommend the Salty Dog to others.

We recently stayed at the Salty Dog and were quite literally blown away. The beach development that it’s situated on is adorable and the house itself has everything you need for a five star get away.

We don’t have children but I could see from the playroom the owners have thought of everything and when it comes to the kitchen there was nothing missing. You can tell there has been a lot of thought gone in to setting up this holiday home.

The property is dog friendly but you would never know a dog has ever stepped a paw inside. We brought our small puppy who spent endless hours outside in the fully enclosed court yard after bouncing around at the beach. A great getaway for us all.

The courtyard also hosts a nice seating area that is not over looked and a bbq which we used a couple of times.

The interior of the house is stunning and very well thought out. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linen was the same standard as a high end hotel.

This property alongside it’s close proximity to the beach and gorgeous walk to Rye is not to be missed if your looking for a memorable get away.

My only complaint is....we should have booked longer. Next time!

We had a lovely family weekend away at The Salty Dog. It is the perfect place for exploring Camber and Rye. We stayed in on the Saturday night - the kitchen/dining room is the perfect space for cooking and enjoying company! The whole house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We will definitely be returning soon!

The Slaty Dog exceeded our expectations! It was lovely inside with plenty of room for us all- with 3 children under 4. The play room was a big hit for all of the children who loved it. The weather was a bit changeable while we were there but we explored and managed to see some of the lovely surroundings which were fab! I really recommend Salty Dog as a family friendly place to stay - it made it a lot easier knowing that some of the things like cots, high chairs etc were already provided.

We recently stayed in The Salty Dog with our 2 children and what a pleasure it was to have so much kit supplied for youngsters. It made our packing so much easier and they loved all the new to them stuff! There is so much to do locally for families - we went on The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, visited Bodiam Castle and had a lovely mooch around Rye. Highly recommend The Salty Dog!

The Joining Instructions were clear, helpful & comprehensive. Camber Sands is a beautiful stretch of gently shelving beach with dunes behind and is a 20 minute amble from the house & is extremely well served with Life Guards and a “Lost Children” tent. Car parking in the immediate vicinity of the beach we found expensive. There are many cafes & eateries plus a good but pricey chippy. Here this modern 3 bedroom house is fully equipped with everything you are likely to need on holiday. Here are two tips:-
-there are some nasties lurking in the sand so wear shoes of some sort.
- we experienced some bright days but high winds caused eye full’s of sand & much discomfort.
Bring goggles as a precaution or there are loads on sale at the Beach Shop

The”Salty Dog” has every sort of amusement imaginable, toys, games, books, speedy Wi-Fi and a whole variety of TV programmes they even supply buckets & spades. There is a decking area at the back with a small BBQ. The owners employ a local contractor who will sort out any equipment problems swiftly. There are two small convenience stores a short walk but obviously have a limited range. Other Supermarkets are not too far by car.

We were please to find that the Romney,Hythe & Dymchurch Railway was operational on a limited basis.

We were the first family to arrive after lockdown and were disappointed to miss out on the much trumpeted welcome of scones. We also spent some time cleaning the BBQ which (not surprisingly) was somewhat unsanitary.

All in all you would be unlikely to have better self- catering accommodation on your UK Beach Holiday

We had a really good time the house was clean and tidy. We also found the welcome pack handy, after a long drive, over 200 miles, these things make a good impact. Hand and shower jells in every bath room, clean towels and bedding, like staying in a 4* hotel. Thanks again Carol....
