Absolutely brilliant. Hotel rooms are super comfortable. Staff are excellent. Village is beautiful. Food is delicious. Highly recommended. Minor points are that breakfast could finish later by around 10 am as 8:45 am is way too early for people on vacation. Shower temperature in my room could not be adjusted and was too hot. Apart from that this was a stay from heaven.

Personally I loved this place, I stayed 4 nights with bed and breakfast.
The location is very pleasant and quiet, the rooms are like terraced houses and feel like being at home. The room was clean and tidy and nice and comfortable. I loved the oak furniture.
The only thing I did not like was a slight smell of sewage coming from the bathroom drain and a very noisy fan.
The food was good and the service was friendly and helpful.
There is free parking on site.
I recommend this place for a quiet and comfortable stay.

My husband and I ate at the Royal Oak last week. We both agreed that the meal was one of the best we have ever tasted. As a coeliac I am often disappointed at lack of choice but not here. I had asparagus with poached egg to start followed by pork My husband had smoked duck followed by a seafood pasta All these dishes were excellent.

Firstly great dinner! Service was OK, bit of a wait, but overall good.|Stayed for the night as well, rooms are lovely all you need comfortable and clean.|Breakfast was really good.|The reason for 4 and not 5 is I do not like it that 95% of the space is all set up for dining, all you have is a room out back to chill and it is not very welcoming, after dinner I would of really liked to have retired to a lounge bar and sat down away from the dining room to have a couple more drinks before bed , as it was we took a drink to the room as these was nowhere to sit apart from the dining table we had been sat around for the past 2 hours. Just a small area set up on a few tables later in the evening in the bar area not with knives and forks would be more welcoming to have an extra drink …..

Visited Long Watton for New Years Eve and managed to get a last minute booking for The Royal Oaks set menu. It was an absolutely incredible meal - everything cooked to perfection and great bar selection.
Lovely friendly staff too.
