Booked to stay for 2 nights, Wednesday - Friday and was placed into the “fuscia” hut.|We ended up having to leave on our first night at 11.30pm due to hornet wasps appearing from no where. My children were terrified and crying refusing to stay in the hut, every time one hornet came out 2 more appeared (possibly a nest near?). || The toilets and shower room were absolutely spotless!! very very clean especially for a camp site! It has a nice little play ground for kids to play which was a bonus and a great way for children to make new friends! the other campers were very friendly and welcoming. Nice little café also. ||Recommendation for improvement - ||- When arriving no one is at the gate, I had to rely on another camper to tell me to drive up to the house to check in. There should be someone on the gate or atleast some signs to explain where to go. ||- Having to leave due to hornets, a maintenance man came round at around 9.30pm checking everything was ok and at that time it was. Before having to leave I had walked up to the house to try and find someone to tell about the hornets, there is no way to enter the house as it’s gated off, reception was closed, no one was around. I think there should be someone whether that be security etc for emergency situations. I had no credit and also no signal so I couldn’t call to get help for the situation which lead me to leaving and now being £295 down, wasn’t offered a refund or even partial refund, was offered to finish my booking date Thursday night to Friday morning but my children point blank refused due to the size of the hornets and how scared they were. 😫||This camp is a hidden gem! very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely consider booking here again as the few hours we did spend here was thoroughly enjoyed and my children kept saying how it’s “the best holiday ever” as this was there last treat before back to school and they’d never been on holiday before.

Brilliant site, well laid out and not overcrowded. We glamped in a dog friendly bell tent which was a little bit tired looking but it kept the (heavy) rain out and we had plenty of space. Cafe has good coffee and a nice breakfast selection if you don’t fancy cooking! Good location as lots of things to do within 5/10 minute drive.

An absolutely fabulous little site, and we will be coming regularly now we have the caravan stored here. Phil the owner is very welcoming. The Cafe is a lovely touch and the surroundings are nice and peaceful. Dog friendly and everything is a short drive away shops, pubs and beach.

Spent two nights on the camp site in my small tent.
Site is great as are the hosts.
I was down for a photo shoot on the beach at Holland on Sea which was close by.
Toilets & showers were excellent as were the bacon sandwiches and coffee available at reception.
All in all a great few days and if in the area again would not hesitate to repeat my stay.

We camped in our campervan for 3 glorious days in August and loved the site. We felt welcomed by the owner and also other regular campers who use the site. The site is in a quiet village location, not too far from amenities and a short car drive to lovely beaches

We were upset when shortly after we booked (last minute) that our glamping tent was unable to be used due to flooding, however we were then offered a pod, which we took. We spent the day in Frinton and arrived in the evening. It was a relaxing vibe, and we were called shortly after arriving to ensure everything was ok, which it was. Our accommodation had a double bed and a bunk bed for our 4 y-o. The accommodation was large, airy, and most importantly clean. The toilets/showers were a short walk away and also very clean. We brought lots of blankets in case we needed them, but didn't as it was lovely and warm. We hired a fire-pit (although we needed extra fuel and a lighter). In short, there was nothing we really needed to bring as most things were provided. ||The next morning we had a short walk to the 'on site cafe' where we bought a coffee. Hot and cold food was also available at a reasonable price. ||The owner did his best to accommodate us and was friendly. We have both said that hopefully be back one day!
