Currently staying here and we’ve stayed a few times before. We love this place. I can’t rate it highly enough. The staff are so friendly and very efficient. The rooms are lovely, so much attention to detail. The food is just perfect. They have an amazing chef.

Stayed for a couple of nights just after New Year. Rooms are clean and well appointed (probably best we’ve found around Scarborough). Food is good (ate in the pub both evenings. Minor points on getting the steak right. |Only point I would make is regarding breakfast. First morning was delicious, everything fresh and moist (had the full English). The second morning (Saturday) everything was dry as a bone. Everything had been re heated (bacon hard as iron)., and my wife’s onlette dry as a bone. Very disappointing. I did let the waitress know who said the chef was different. Have to say never experienced such a drop off in standards like that before. I’m writing this so that management can put it right.

What a fun Inn. Great staff, good food and good drinks. What more could you want? I did have to teach them how to make a proper martini but they were eager to learn. My room although one of the larger ones was still small and the shower was also the bath with the curtain, hate those but it was a nice bath. Room furnishings were fine. The downstairs has great character and is very lively every night. Definitely make
Dinner reservations and find a spot at the bar for a drink. I would stay here again for sure.

Just wow!! Super high standard throughout!! Exceeded what we were expecting. Very plush and stunning accommodation at such an affordable price. Gutted we did not stay longer, only 1 night prior to a wedding. And stayed the next night at the wedding venue, which did not even compare to The Plough inn and cottages! Highly recommend!!

We’ve stayed at the Plough several times, both in the Plough itself and also in the cottages. The first thing we’d say is that the impeccable quality offered when staying in the Plough itself is matched entirely when staying in the cottages (we’ve tried all but one!). Whoever has styled, renovated, furnished and equipped the cottages is at the top of their game. The impeccable cleaning and maintenance ensures they remain perfect. |The quality of service blends high standards with unpretentiousness. The staff are highly professional and clearly enjoy their work - exactly the right balance. The quality of the food coming out of the kitchen is outstanding and those serving us were excellent - just the right level of attentiveness and always with a smile. The bar staff maintain this standard and the beers are very well kept!|This place is a gem!

Wow, what an amazing property. Fully equipped, warm, clean and very luxurious. |As a family of five we stayed in the post office which had 3x double rooms. It had everything that we could possibly need. The property was really clean and warm with lots of extra touches like dressing gowns and molten brown toiletries. We were attending a wedding at Hackness Grange and it was ideally located. Just to give a heads up though even though it’s only 3x miles away, the taxi one way cost £20. |We will definitely stay in one of the five stay properties again, they are fabulous.

Staying in Filey for long weekend and fancied Sunday dinner out. We were not disappointed. Food was excellent, plenty full, hot and came out quickly. Good price and the bar had a welcoming feel to it too. Very dog friendly which was a massive plus for us. Highly recommend 👌
