Stopped off to visit the centre and see the soldiers leap. Beautiful picturesque setting. From the centre and cafe, we stopped and had a light lunch. Very nice indeed. the walk down to the leap is a bit steep. It's not bad going down, but it's harder coming back up again. If you are able to, you can walk on further parallel to the train tracks and the river (Garry) where we saw water sport going on. Lovely wee cafe and location. It's well worth a visit.

Good walking boots/shoes for the walk to The soldiers leap and riverside walk, but worth it very nice today and you can start or finish at the Jacobite Restaurant

Always just drive past so decided to stop by.
Went for a walk down to the pass itself. Lovely woodland walks and views. Read up on the history of the battle in the great visitor centre/cafe. (Didn't eat) lots of birdlife and information points around the centre too. Loved it.

Fab walk into Pitlochry, dogs swam in the River Garry, we watched the bungee ju.pers, leap from underneath the bridge. Beautiful scenery, fab wildlife including red squirrels.

We had a great morning walk here. Few steps at the beginning but an easy walk along the water after. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

There is limited parking here because the demand can be so high. On a sunny day cars are often parked along the road outside because it is so busy. Inside, the car park is chargeable, paid at a machine. The cafe is quite big seating inside and out. An activity group has its base here so lots of their trucks here too. Paths going up and down the river but most people visit the Soldiers Leap. There is a viewing area above the falls where in autumn salmon can be seen leaping up the falls to get to their spawning ground. Just means having the patience to keep watching. Autumn colours are also spectacular here.

The path here is well laid out but very steep and uneven to start.Good information set up on the walk.
