Had a wonderful SUP Adventure today led by Tatty who took us on a fab tour taking in some amazing scenery. We even had an opportunity to light a small fire and toast marshmallows!

Tatty took us through all the ‘how to’ and all important safety points of SUP which was great before embarking on our adventure.

I highly recommend The Paddle Shack, I started the day feeling quite low but my mood quickly improved as the adventure progressed and I have been on a high all day. What great therapy getting out in the water is.

My partner and I had a fantastic morning on a 2 hour beginners class. Initial instructons were given on dry land then we took to the river and paddled out towards the castle. Alana and Holly were very attentive and made you feel at ease, even when it was hard work paddling against the wind. I would book again and will even try the 3 hour adventure SUP.

I have paddled with Tatty and Alana about five times now and it’s always a really enjoyable experience. I would give both the experience paddling on the dart, and the quality of the sessions run by The Paddleshack a faultless review.

All instructors are very friendly and positive, and really good at helping you feel confident on your board. I always feel very safe with them, and you can tell they put lots of care and attention into this.

The dart is a particularly beautiful place to paddle, going up the stream to explore creeks, see wildlife (seals, fish, herons) and find hidden beaches. The water is clean and calm and the Sessions always feel very peaceful.

If you are considered whether to book a session, they are well worth it. It will be an experience you will always remember

Just had a 2 hour paddle boarding session on the River Dart with Lanny as our instructor. She was excellent, made the whole experience so relaxed and stress free as it was out first time paddle boarding. We were up and standing within 10 minutes! Definitely book with The Paddle Shack for a fantastic experience to remember.

Went with my two teenage daughters for a 2 hour intro lesson and had a lovely time. I didn't just want to hire and paddle on our own as we were on moving/tidal water and Lanny and Tatty made me feel happy and relaxed right from the off with their instruction, advice and obvious knowledge of the water. They were encouraging and enthusiastic and great at chatting while paddling with adults, tweens and teens a like. Definitely recommend and my daughters and I are all keen to continue paddling after our experience. Thank you, Ladies.

We had the most amazing couple of ours paddle boarding on the River Dart. The views are amazing and Tatty was the perfect instructor, I had never paddle boarded before so honestly thought I wouldn’t be able to stand up but was pleasantly surprised within a couple of minutes of encouragement it was easy! Don’t worry about not having a wetsuit either, shorts are fine! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area, it was a highlight of our stay!
