A little gem of a B&B. 2 minutes from ferry port. Fiona is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome . Rooms was so clean and comfortable. Evening meal was just delicious home made food . Highly recommend

A very warm, welcoming and comfortable B&B in a perfect location for the Cairnryan Ferries - so convenient. Fiona is a lovely host. Our evening meal and drinks were delicious and great value. The view is splendid and it is a pleasant spot for a post meal stroll. We would definitely like stay again. Thank you, Fiona.

This B&B was a great wee find. We stayed one night as we were travelling on the ferry (about 1 min away) the next morning. Fiona and Bernie were so friendly and made us feel at home from the start. Our room was very clean and had a small en-suite. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. I loved that fresh milk was provided in a flask also bottled water and treats. We had an evening meal of fish & hand cut chips followed by sticky toffee pudding, both were delicious. Breakfast was also great. We'll definitely stay again.

😊: What a hidden gem. Staying at Merchant House with our host Fionia was a delight. She could not do enough for us during our stay, from drinks to dinner to breakfast. Beautiful spot overlooking the river watching the ferries come & go. Room was very comfortable, quiet and extremely clean, same with the ensuite. We sat and chattered for many hours hearing about the history of this near 300 year old building and its previous lives, still standing strong for nearly 300 years. Only approximately a mile from our ferry terminal, so perfect location. Thank you Fionia for your hospitality and kindness, we wish you all the best..

We had a fantastic stay. Fiona and Bernie are excellent hosts. They really know how to make visitors welcome. We had very nice cosy room with a Seaview. We had dinner fish and chips. So fresh and homemade chips. Yummy. Small bar so you can have a beer or other drinks. Breakfast was excellent. Parking outside the door on street. We will be back.

Had the best gluten free fish and chips. Also other gluten free options on the menu. Bernie and Fiona were so so lovely. We had a wonderful experience here and wish we could have stayed longer.
