We just returned from our 3-night wedding charter on the Glen Shiel, and I truly cannot gush enough about the experience. I'll try to break it down into just some of the things we loved:

The crew: Our stewardess, Alice, made us feel at home immediately, with fizz from the moment we stepped onto the boat! She also wrote us the loveliest messages on our daily menu board, congratulating us on our marriage. Chef Graeme kept us incredibly well fed and happy. He even made us a gorgeous cake for the night after our ceremony! Engineer Cameron was not only great at the technical elements of his job, but he's also a phenomenal storyteller and always ready with a fun fact and detailed knowledge about our surroundings. Finally, skipper Tony handled the boat with an expertise that made us feel safe, even when the wind picked up and we had some rolling.

Amenities: Comfy beds, big, squishy pillows, plenty of seating in the lounge, and spacious bathrooms. We always had hot water, everything was always impeccably clean, and the space was always comfortable.

The wildlife: We got so incredibly lucky, as a pod of bottlenose dolphins took a liking to the boat and followed us for hours! We also had a brief sighting of common dolphins. We got to stop off at Lunga to see puffins, and Cameron was always ready to point out when interesting birds swooped by.

I'd absolutely recommend The Majestic Line for anyone who wants a balance of luxury and down-to-earth relaxation.

A magical three night cruise to celebrate the wedding of our son and daughter in law.
From stepping on to the tender the four crew were so welcoming and genuinely invested in all 11 of us guests. They remained professional, providing excellent service yet felt like friends at the same time.
We were incredibly lucky with the weather and wildlife, spent a lot of time enjoying the comfort of the deck area, even managing a little ceilidh rehearsal.
The food at every meal was spot on. The goat cheese soufflé requires a special mention.
Hope to repeat the experience one day!

Just got off the Glen Shiel after a 6 night adventure around the islands and inlets of Mull and what a fabulous time we had! Everything was top notch, all the four crew members worked so hard from start to finish to make our holiday special. The food, prepared by Chef Neil was incredible - he must work solidly from dawn to dusk every single day. Individual dietary needs and preferences were carefully catered for, with wine included at dinner. The itinerary is flexible, agreed by Skipper Graham and guests each day. We saw eagles and puffins, not so much in the way of dolphins and whales, but the bird life was so varied and interesting. The scenery is jaw dropping, and the skipper made sure we were moored in sheltered locations each night to minimise movement of the ship. Cabins are snug, but you're only sleeping in there so you don't need acres of space. Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms clean with a good sized shower. The lounge area has been refurbished recently and is very light, comfortable and sociable, with a bar - thanks to steward Celeste for the fantastic cocktails! Transfers to shore are by a little tender boat, for less mobile guests the crew are on hand to help but you do need to be able to get in and out of the boat. Engineer Keelan was a star, helping out where needed all the time, plus he did a tour of the engine room for those who were interested. You can go and sit in the bridge with the skipper any time and if you fancy a go at driving the ship he's more than happy to instruct and give you a go at the wheel. All in all we've had the best holiday ever and can't wait to go back. Highly recommended by us!

We have recently returned home from a cruise on the Glen Etive around Mull. The crew went out of their way to make our trip memorable Domnhal, Katie, Graham and Andy were fabulous. Now let me explain why I would not recommend this company. I booked this trip as a private charter over a year in advance, on the initial communications I explained that i had two disabled family members and that it was imperative that we embarked from the pontoon as from the tender would be impossible.14 days before our departure I receive an email telling me that due to damage to the pontoon (8 weeks previous) we would have to embark from the tender. After a distraught phonecall from myself I was told they would try to find a solution. 4 days later (10days before travel) I receive an email with their ‘solution’ which involved me travelling alone with the two disabled family members on a ferry and then a 30min bus journey to pick up the boat in Tobermory and worse still on the return to miss the last night of the cruise do the journey in reverse and then put ourselves up in a hotel for the night! Some solution. What was supposed be our last and once in a lifetime family holiday, my 78 year old mother had to be left behind and told 10 days before that she could not come. It broke my heart and hers.No goodwill gesture from Majestic despite me spending £30k with them and at such short notice I couldn’t fill her cabin. Zero empathy or customer service from management. The storm damage had occurred many weeks before and this situation should have and could have been handled very differently.

The rooms were ok, the food was ok. Staff were lovely except for the shaven headed captain. Possibly the rudest most arrogant person I’ve had the misfortune to encounter .the boat belched smoke and made me feel very seasick

My wife and I just today, June 14 got off the Glen Massan having been on the southern Hebrides and lochs of Argyll cruise.
Every part of our trip was nothing short of perfect even the weather. The crew were magnificent, each one of the 4 helped make this a special excursion. And the food was fine dining quality every day exquisitely cooked and presented and not overwhelming portions, just right.
The scenery was wild and empty, fantastic. Thank you Helen, Yasmine, Dan and Skipper Ian, J & A

I would not recommend this holiday to anyone. We have just returned from what was supposed to be a 10 day trip to the outer Hebrides. Needless to say, we didn’t get there! The staff were inexperienced - at one point the RNLI had to help out the engineer who was unable to secure the tender to the pontoon. We did not always feel safe. Customer service was awful, the beds were so hard we had to sleep on top of the duvet, the bathrooms smelt from when we arrived and we went days without getting them cleaned. The boat broke down - a common occurrence apparently. I could go on but you get the picture. We were heartily relieved when our holiday ended - I would never travel with Majestic Line again!

We joined the Glen Sheil with our friends for a cruise from Oban to Mull, Skye, Staffa and Iona. The food prepared by chef Neil was exceptional, the crew and captain Neil were amazing. The trip was memorable and we would not hesitate to recommend the Majestic line.
