The Lawns Park offers a tranquil and scenic escape, perfect for nature lovers and families looking for a relaxing outdoor experience. The park is well-maintained, with spacious green lawns, beautiful trees, and plenty of open space for picnics, games, or simply enjoying a peaceful stroll.

It’s an ideal spot for a leisurely day out, with well-kept paths for walking, cycling, and jogging. There are also areas for children to play, making it family-friendly. The atmosphere is calm, and it’s a great place to unwind while soaking in the natural beauty.

The park has some benches and shaded areas for those who prefer a more relaxed visit, as well as nearby cafes or amenities for refreshments. The overall cleanliness and upkeep of the park are commendable, and it’s a popular choice for locals seeking a quiet retreat.

Whether you’re looking to take in the scenery or enjoy some outdoor activities, The Lawns Park is a lovely and welcoming space to spend time.

What a nice 3k walk you have a few old buildings It is a shame there is nothing there to tell you what they were. There is a nice lake with a few places to fish if that your thing. From the top of the hill there is good views of Swindon from the football stadium all the way to B&Q DC. It is a shame there is no coffee shop or even any toilets. A nice kids park would fit in nicely.

Lovely vistas - winding walks, lakes etc lush in the winder and you can nip to old town for a cuppa in a cafe. If not local park in the Planks long stay carpark for £1 for 2 hrs best value in Old Town (grafitti pic is in the carpark)

Little known fact: one of XTC's finest songs, Humble Daisy, is about the flowers Andy Partridge saw while walking his dog here.

As a park to easily pop into from Old Town, it's a great place to escape the concrete and chill out...with or without the dog. 😊👍
